Old Dogs Movie Reviews

Saw the preview two months ago; looked like it would be a very funny movie. Could not wait to see it. Yesterday I saw it; could not wait to get out. Some funny lines but overall a pretty bad movie. Wait for the DVD; it won't be funnier, but it was cost less.
"Old Dogs" is about two life long friends who are partners for 30 years in a sports merchandising business. The plot is realistic but fails to reach the level of comedy that you would hope from Robin Williams and John Travolta. In real life, the two were good friends from their days on the tube as "Mork (Williams) and Vinnie(Travolta). John is a much better actor in Drama than Comedy. Williams should stick to stand up comedy. I think the last good drama that Robin was in was titled " The world according to Garp"which if you are younger than 40 might not know the title.
This is not a funny movie. The humor is cheap and stretched way too thin. I haven't seen a comedy this bad in about 10 years. I might have laughed during only a couple of scenes. I would give this movie a 3 out of 10 due to the poor comedy but did enjoy seeing Robin Williams and John Travolta in a movie together.
It is cool to see Robin Williams calmer than he is on stage. He does more subtle humor, which gives you another insight into his comedic abilities.
Watch this one on DVD if you watch it at all.
if you waant to laugh-go see this movie-maybe you have to be up in age to trully enjoy-John Travolta and Robin Williams are great together. Robin Williams finds out he has twins and promises to take care of them while the mother serves 2 weeks jail time for picketing--all that happens make you deep down laugh-A must see
