SPOILER ALERT! I agree with the person that said it was "fresh and current". Where else could u see "transformers" helping to build the ark? I thought the computer generated animals were ok but the snake was phony. Still trying to figure out how the ark stayed afloat that long when the guy chopped a hole (in the side) large enough to fit through. Never showed any repairs. Maybe Noah had a sump and syphoned it into the flood waters (that would really be current). There were parts that followed the Biblical version--it had Noah, his wife and family, there was an ark, a flood and it even had a raven and a dove --with olive branch. I believe the movie people suggested that the "new world" was repopulated by incest since only Noah, his wife, Shem, Shem's "friend"(no marriage suggested but a scene of them consummating their friendship) and their twin daughters, Ham, and Japheth were alive at the time. Did anyone else wonder how Ham and Japheth were going to "be fruitful and increase In number" ? Poor Ham walked off into the sunset without anyone to join him. Bottom line, if ur looking for a Biblical version --don't go. If u just want to see a movie and take from it what u wish--it's ur buck.

Noah takes the title "Worst movie ever made" from, Plan 9 from Outer Space. This movie was horrible! I read the Biblical account of Noah in my Bible before seeing the movie. THE MOVIE was a complete lie. The only part the director got right was that a Ark was built. The movie is insulting to Christians and Jewish people alike. DO NOT SEE IT! At the beginning it shows creation as pollywogs crawling from the ocean and evolving into various animals and living things. Then it has giant monsters that look like giant crystal Transformers building the Ark instead of Noah and his sons. Later it shows hundreds if not thousands of sinful Men being slaughtered by these black crystal Monsters as they try to board the Ark. Their only sin is that they eat meat and are not vegetarians. Do no pay to see this movie! I got sick to my stomach and couldn't wait for it to end. It makes a mockery of Gods word and lies to people that don't know the true story of Noah.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I wasn't expecting a faithful retelling of Noah's story, but this travesty managed to be bad, boring, stupid, and offensive all at the same time. As a Christian, I was offended by this distorted version of a beloved Bible story. As an intelligent human being, I was bored to tears by the bad script and Russell Crowe's overacting. Special effects aren't enough to make a good movie. Save your time and money on this one!

It was interesting. And seemed accurate according to old testament accounts. I'd be more interested to hear from people of Jewish faith since this was not from the new testament.

I did not expect to like this film at all, because I thought it will be boring and preachy. However, I am glad to say that this film rocked and I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen, because it is incredible visually. The film is also original and it re-invents the old Biblical story into something very different and current. The film is very ambitious and it has an amazing cast that make it that much more better. Overall, give this film a chance and you will not regret it.

My mother really wanted to see this film mainly because she loves Biblical stories, and I went to see this film mainly because she guilted me into it. I have to say that I did not expect to like this movie at all, but I was pleasantly surprised and I even recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film looked insanely good and epic, I was blown away with the visuals in this movie. It was also really imaginative and it took an old story and made it fresh and current, I loved that. Overall, this film was quite powerful and it was definitely worth my time and money and it made my mom very happy, which is priceless.

I was quite excited to see this movie, because I have heard great things about it and I was interested on how the director can make ridiculous Biblical story interesting. I have to say that I did not expect to like it as much as I did, it was truly amazing and I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen. The story was told in a very different way and I loved the message, which was very environmentalist and I praise the director for doing that. The film was incredible visually and the cast was very impressive. The film is epic in its scope and ambition, I was kind of blown away. I kept thinking about it way after I have left the theater and that is a very good sign.

I went to see this film, because my friend really wanted to see it. I was going into it with very low expectations, because I thought it will be preachy and ridiculous, but I was totally wrong. This film totally surprised me and blew my socks off, I did not expect this film to be any good and in fact, it was amazing. I loved how the story was told and the director was pushing environmentalist agenda, which was awesome. Christians who are smart and open-minded will enjoy this film, I am not religious at all and I had a blast watching this movie, so it is good for all. Overall, this film looked amazing, it had an impressive cast and a good story that was told in an interesting and artistic way.
