“Nanette” is a movie about an orangutan living in captivity in the zoo in Paris. It is a beautiful and in the same time sad movie. I have never been a fan of the zoo and this movie made me hate it even more. Nanette is the focus of the movie, there are absolutely no human faces in this movie, we can only hear their voices. I enjoyed it very much, however it made me very sad and even angry at humans. Nanette might be safer in the zoo than her endangered kin in the wild, but she is living in a prison, where she is always being watched and she will never ever be a true orangutan. Nanette seems broken by her life in captivity. I cried during this movie and I think everyone who thinks that the zoo is a wonderful place should see this movie, because it will change their minds very quickly. I am telling all my friends to see it.
