I really liked this doc**entary and it was close to my heart as well. I am not the same age as the characters in the film but my parents are and i have heard stories about their struggles and joys while growing up in Soviet Union. This film was very interesting and fun to watch. I especially liked watching the homemade movies of the subjects of the film, it was fascinating for me and I wish my parents had movies like that. The film explores it’s subjects very well and by doing that it shows a very different side of Russia. Overall, it is a great doc**entary.

I absolutely loved this doc**entary that was directed by Robin Hessman. I grew up in Soviet union and this film really struck a cord with me and I think the director did an amazing job picking the subjects for his film and the way he incorporated old Soviet home movies into the film is absolutely wonderful. I admire how the director made me see a lot of similarities between what was happening in Soviet Union and what is happening in United States(9/11 and financial meltdown). It also shows a vast difference between the way Western and Eastern children were brought up, I loved seeing it in this film. overall, it is an amazing doc**entary that is definitely worth seeing.
