This is a film about a father and a son who become estranged and then reunite in difficult circ**stances. Music is like another character in this film, because it is the thing that Henry and Gabriel fought about and it is the reason they get to know each other again in the end. Lou Taylor Pucci is absolutely amazing as Gabriel and I really felt for his character. J.K. Simmons as Gabriel’s father Henry is absolutely brilliant and both actors have great chemistry on the screen. The music in the film is amazing and I was so happy to hear Rolling Stones, Buffalo Springfield and Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead. Overall, I loved this film because it has heart and tells a great and inspirational story. -
What an amazing and inspiring film! It was a real treat and I want to see this movie over and over again. It is a story about Gabriel who ran away from home and turns up after 20 years in the hospital with lost memory. His father Henry learns that a large tumor was removed and that is the reason of his memory loss. Henry goes through hell and back trying to help his son reenter the world and learns that only music can do that. This film moved me deeply and profoundly, it is full of joy, sadness, hope, despair and most of all love. The performances of J.K Simmons and Lou Taylor Pucci are brilliant and I hope their performances will be acknowledged and rewarded. I highly recommend seeing this movie. You will leave with the sense of hope. Music and love can move the mountains!
