I hate films like that so my review might be biased, however I’ll try to be as objective as possible. I can firmly say that pre-teen girls will love this film and have fun watching, however if you are not 11 years old, you will want to shoot yourself. The film is unrealistic, I mean who can believe that Selena Gomez can feel like an outsider anywhere, and there are many more absolutely ridiculous ideas but i guess teenagers don’t really care about that. There is no character development or message in this film, therefore it is basically about pretty people, nice clothes and beautiful locations. Overall, I wish i did not see this and saved my time and my money.

I did not expect much from this film and I was right not to. I think when you see Selena Gomez in the film it should be automatically known that the film will suck. If you are not an eight year old female, there is absolutely no way you can like this movie. The story is as unoriginal as it can get and there is no real thought or purpose behind it. This film is not about growing up, even though they try to fool you into thinking that, this film is about nice locations, pretty clothes and boys. The young actresses work hard in the film, unfortunately they have to work harder because none of them are even close to being a good. Overall, I do not recommend this film.

I can't watch a movie like Monte Carlo and look at it from the perspective of a 37 year old man. I'll hate it. So I try my best to think of what the target audience would think of this film. It's tough getting into the mindset of a 13 year old girl, but doing so allows me to say that Monte Carlo is fun (that was hard to do).
Selena Gomez plays Grace, off on a trip to Paris before she starts college. There, she's mistaken for a British heiress, and she, her best friend, and step-sister (played by Leighton Meester, who's the best thing in the movie), head off for Monte Carlo for all types of Shakespearean type misunderstandings.
Listen, this film is fluff, but it's fun fluff for the right audience. And if a 37 year old man can see this without wanting to throw himself out the window, that's something.

This is a silly teenage comedy that will definitely appeal to the targeted audience. The film stars Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy and that makes up for a perfect trio for a movie just like this. The girls do a good job with heir roles and the film is really beautiful visually. I loved the wardrobe in the film and while I realize it is very shallow and silly but I liked it and I am not ashamed of it. Do not take your guy friends(unless they are gay) or boyfriends to this film because they will hate you for it. Overall, it is a total chick flick that will leave you feeling happy.

Monte Carlo, a comedy about three american high school students who go to Monte Carlo on vacation when it suddenly turns from a budget vacation into an upgraded dream vacation. This is a musical at the same time it is a comedy. It is definitely a fluff film but it could be fun to see with the family. If you are looking for anything substantial, this is not the movie for you. It kind of felt like Sex and the City but without the sex and for teenagers. So I guess it’s not really like Sex and the City at all. The girls in this film are all great singers, but they also did a great job of acting. However, the great acting did not lift the movie up any higher for me. Even the best acting couldn’t have done anything for this fluffy piece of work. This is a teenage girl’s movie in the end, and probably that demographic is the only people who will enjoy it.

This is one of those movies that all the teenage girls across the US will be fawning over. It is about a group of girls whose budget vacation gets upgraded and they have the time of their lives. I did not enjoy this film at all. The one saving grace of the film was the singing, which was spectacular. I believe these girls are singers more than they are actors. This was made pretty evident from the poor acting in the film. However, I wasn’t expecting much in that department anyways. The movie is very pretty though, set in an amazing location (hence the title). I wouldn’t suggest this film to anyone except girls between the age of 12-16. Maybe that is what they creators were going after.

This is a comedy directed by Thomas Bezucha and starring Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy. The film is silly and mindless but i do have to admit that I had a good time watching it. You just have to be prepared to have some mindless entertainment and you will have no problem liking this film. The soundtrack of the film is kind of lame but catchy in the same time. I even had couple of laughs throughout the film and that is not half bad. Overall, it is a summer movie that will leave you feeling optimistic and slightly dumb.

This is yet another teen film that is absolutely stupid and pointless all in the same time. The plot is simple, three girl go on a trip that becomes a big and wonderful adventure with beautiful clothes and songs. I absolutely hate movies like that and I almost puked couple of times watching Selena Gomez just being her annoying self. I think these kind of movies make teenagers dumber and more self involved and that is no good. I do have to admit that visually the film is beautiful. It was filmed in Budapest and I really want to visit there because it looks truly magical. overall, if you do not want to loose brain cells and become dumber, do not see this film.
