Great acting and if you love MLB you will enjoy this true story.

Starring Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, Moneyball tells the story of a baseball team who took a new approach to recruitment. Instead of the industry wide method of having older baseball stars use objective methods, they use data analysis to predict what they would need to win the championship. The reason they decide to go for the data method is because they can get cheaper players since they are under a stiff budget. I really enjoyed Moneyball. One of the cons of the movie is that it is very long. The movie started to lose some of its momentum towards the end. However, it was an extremely interesting movie and really kept me entertained the entire time. I would absolutely recommend this movie to my friends, family, and anyone else.

Moneyball is a movie starring one of my favorite actors (Brad Pitt) and one of my favorite comedic actors (Jonah Hill) and is about baseball. Well, the movie is less about baseball and more about the scouting aspect of baseball. Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill figure out a way to recruit cheap baseball players for their losing team that is different from anything anyone had ever seen before. The magic behind this new method is data. Jonah Hills studies the data behind player’s stats and makes decisions on who they think will equal a win. The film’s story was very fascinating, and the acting was of course great. I didn’t think Pitt and Hill would have chemistry but they definitely did. Well done.

I really loved this film and I am surprised to say that because I do not enjoy films about sports, in the same time it was about much more than baseball. I thought that baseball can not be and never be interesting(how very un-American of me) but this film proved me wrong, it was not only interesting, it was fascinating. The film is beautifully shot, directed and acted, it is perfect in every way and that is almost scary to say. I had a great time watching it because it was smart and funny and brad Pitt was in it, what more can ask for.

I've read the book Moneyball. It's an excellent book, filled with statistics and new ways of thinking about statistics and player value and a lot of other non-action related ideas. A movie about these things? I thought that was the stupidest idea I had ever heard, which I guess is why I don't make movies. Moneyball has taken something that could have been dry and boring and turned it into an entertaining underdog story, even for those who aren't baseball fans.
The film follows ex-ballplayer, general manager Billy Beane (played by Brad Pitt) as he goes against 100 years of knowledge in putting together the Oakland A's in the early 2000s. He's fighting scouts who think he's crazy and ownership with shallow pockets. But when he meets a young Yale grad (played by Jonah Hill) with a completely new formula for getting the most out of low cost players, a revolution is started. Being a baseball fan, I know where this new notion of player value has gone, both for the A's (not that great) and baseball in general, but somehow, this film manages to be continuously entertaining.
The key is Pitt, and how he plays a man who is both c***y and completely unsure of himself. It's a great turn for an actor who continues to prove how good he actually is. The script is also excellent, written by Oscar winners Steve Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin. It's sharp, witty and funny, and never gets bogged down in what could be too cerebral. It's an excellent film that may also be the most surprising of the year.

I did not expect to like this film at all, I do not like sports or watch sports but I really enjoyed watching this film. I think the director Bennett Miller did a great job with this film and he also selected a very good cast for it. Brad Pitt was great as usual but i was the most impressed with Jonah Hill, he was amazing in this film, I had no idea that he is that good of an actor. The film was very interesting, involving and it had warmth underneath all those statistics and facts. My friend is a baseball fan and he was in heaven, he also told me that the story really happened and that made the film that much better for me. Overall, even if you are not a baseball fan or know anything about this sport, you will like this film, I guarantee it.

I really did not expect to like this film, I thought it will be about sports, about baseball and I hate sports. However, the film was really about not giving up and sticking to your truth, I was very impressed. The film has a perfect cast and I was blown away by Jonah Hill, Brad Pitt was great as well, he gave a very real and genuine performance. I think that the film was kind of rebellious and that is very appealing to me and i bet to many people. If you are a baseball fan, you will be in heaven, this film is like a love story to baseball. Overall, I highly recommend seeing this film in the theaters because it is interesting and entertaining.

This is a film about Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane's , the film is directed by Bennett Miller and stars Brad Pitt, Robin Wright and Jonah Hill. I really liked this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. I think that the film was very clever and interesting and it has a great cast. I do not even like sports, actually I hate sports and especially watching movies about them but this film was different. The film was very entertaining and surprisingly gripping. I loved Brad Pitt, I think he is a great actor but the show was stolen by Jonah Dill, he was absolutely excellent. Overall, this film is definitely worth seeing.
