Midnight in Paris Movie Reviews

This is the best film I have seen this year and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film is directed by Woody Allen and has a wonderful cast that includes Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates. Woody Allen keeps coming out with amazing films and as much as i do not like him as a person, I admire him as a director. The film seemed magical and I felt like I was transformed to a different time. The film is about romance, art and just everything i love and live for. Overall, I could not be happier that i have seen this film and i am definitely buying the DVD.
I absolutely loved this movie. For anyone who has ever dreamed of being a writer and living in Paris, this is a must see. The Paris scenery was fantastic and I enjoyed the story line as well.
It was funny, romantic and a bit dramatic at times. Although it got a rating of PG-13, this is as close to a family movie as I've seen in a long time.
In this comedy director Woody Allen explores the theme of longing for the past. The film stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates. i really loved this film and I will probably see it again and then buy the DVD. Woody Allen is a genius and I do think he is one of the best directors of our time. The film is incredibly charming, visually beautiful and just feels light and is also funny and witty. The actors are amazing and I even liked Owen Wilson(who i usually hate). Woody Allen was always able to portray certain moods in his films and this film is one of the best yet. Overall, I highly recommend seeing it.
I absolutely loved this comedy and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters, I guarantee that you will have a great time. Woody Allen keeps coming out with great films and even though I do not like him as a person, he is no doubt one of the best directors of our time. The film is effortless and amazingly beautiful, i was so happy after this film. The actors were so good! I enjoyed every single character and could not believe how good Adrian Brody was as Salvador Dali, simply amazingly casted movie. The story is engaging and intense at times, Woody Allen did it again. I am very happy got to see this film.
oh the thrill for woody allen fans. his genuine risky attempts in so many
varied ways. his polished characters- the funny way he tells his stories
of living. it cannot be compared to any other movie, for to do that is to take
away from its own uniqueness. always one can compare and compare.
i go to the movies for fun, learning, laughter, silliness and storytelling. so,
we rate it 4 stars! every time we get to see a woody allen movie we have
been given another delicious candy bar to eat! whatever the whim he is
working on at the moment, he shares with all of us! wow.
For those who know and love Paris, there are some great scenes of special places in Montmartre, as well as Place de la Concorde, Shakespeare and Company bookstore right next to the restaurant Le Petit Châtelet, Pont Alexandre III and much more.
Pseudo-sophisticates, who consider themselves well-read, will be quietly self-satisfied and laugh at just the right moments as references made to writers and artists of a bygone era, whose names they recognize, show up in the fantasy of Gil and at Gil's juvenile humor and demeanor. The uninitiated might say that was intended but they can't get away with that with anyone who appreciates good film. Compare the bizarre film, "Moulin Rouge" for example with the extraordinary , "Chicago" and you'll know the difference.
Second-rate acting by Owen Wilson (Gil) and Rachel MacAdams (Inez) spoil what could have otherwise been a good movie. Corey Stoll, as Ernest Hemingway, and Adrien Brody, as Salvador Dali, bring real humor to the film and Kathy Bates demonstrates her well-rounded education with quite a command of the French language and a very passable French accent.
As much as I loved the familiar Paris scenes, I was quite disappointed with the movie as a whole.
