This is a drama about a medical student Ruby (Emayatzy E. Corinealdi) who puts her dreams and career aside due to her husband’s incarceration. As she tries to learn to live a life full of shame and despair, she finds herself torn between two worlds and two men. I thought this film was pretty great and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film was realistic, the characters were complex and compelling and the film was well made and paced. I was truly moved by this film and forgot that it was fictional, I really felt for the characters and cared what will happen to them, especially what will happen to Ruby played by Corinealdi. I hope this actress will get recognized for this role because she did a marvelous job with it. It is a very courageous film and I think it is worth your time and money.
