Looking for Palladin Movie Reviews

The film was visually beautiful and the sights of Guatemala are intriguing and colorful, but the problems with the storyline and character development could not be compensated by beautiful cinmatography. I am a huge Ben Gazzara fan and i felt like he should have not been in this film because it is so beyond his capabilities as an actor. David Moscow’s character Josh was such a cliche and so unlikable that I was annoyed every time he was on the screen, therefore I was simply annoyed throughout the whole film. I think David Moscow did as good of a job as he could with the character he was given, I blame the director and the writers. It was really hard to believe Josh’s character and it made the movie seem fake and unimportant. I do not recommend seeing this movie, Ben Gazzara is still great but he should not be in movies like this one.
This movie starts as a comedy and somehow ends up becoming a family melodrama. Therefore, I enjoyed the first half of the movie and was bored to death in the second half. The director should have stuck with the comedy theme and the movie would have been O.K. Ben Gazzara is excellent as usual and gives a really strong performance, but unfortunately solely his performance is not able to save this film from being boring and unoriginal. More questions are raised than answered and I was really confused about Josh’s (David Moscow) connection to Palladin. I love Ben Gazzara so much as an actor and I always enjoy watching him, but he should have not agreed to be in this film. David Moscow’s character Josh is so obnoxiuos and straight up annoying that it was hard to like him or watch him. Overall, I did enjoy watching Ben Gazzara and the landscape of Guatemala, but the movie was not good at all. I do not recommend seeing it.
