Lone Survivor Movie Reviews

This was a very intense film that I saw with my buddy who has been in armed forces and it affected him and me on a very deep level. The film is pretty grim and it lends a heavy hand on patriotism and courage, still it is an important film to see and I hope people will. The battle sequences were grueling and very effective, I was exhausted after this film because it really felt like I was there in the middle of the action throughout the whole movie and I don’t remember ever feeling like that after seeing a film. This film was very well made and the director obviously has deep feelings about the themes that are discussed in it and I enjoyed that. Overall, I think it is an important film to see and I urge you to see it.
This was a great film that was masterfully done and beautifully acted and I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen. The film tells a story of endurance, courage, desperation, and resolve and I ate it up quite nicely. The message about patriotism is delivered a bit heavy-handed but I understand why it was done and what was meant by it. The film could have stuck to the facts a bit closer but overall t was a good film that is worth your time. It is a very intense film, especially the scenes where there is crossfire in the mountains, it left me kind of breathless and I can not even imagine how soldiers feel in these situations in real life, it must be horrible.
This was a great movie with some of the best action scenes I have seen in a movie in a long time. What really stood out for me is that except for just a few sequences towards in the end, the movie managed to avoid most of the hollywood steretypes that could have destroyed this film. I still think Black Hawk Down is a better portrayal of small unit tactics, which is why only four stars.
