Lone Ranger Movie Reviews

I was pretty excited to see this film and my expectations were quite high, unfortunately I left the theater very disappointed and I do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters. The makers of this film tried too hard to balance playfulness with grandiosity and the film ended up being incoherent and messy. The film also felt pretty empty even though there was a lot happening and instead of being entertaining and exciting it was very tiring. I think the makers of this film could not decide on the tone so they went back and forth with it and the end result was very annoying.
I really wanted to like this film because I love Johnny Depp and the film looked fun in the trailers, unfortunately I did not like it. I thought the film was way too over the top and it was also way way too long. I found the action sequences to be quite boring which is weird and for the first time ever I thought that Johnny Depp was overacting. I thought that the film was lacking charm and genuine excitement and I was overall bored with it. The film was also all over the place tonally and it was kind of exhausting to watch it. Basically , I do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters.
I did not really want to see this film because even from the trailers I could tell that I will not like it, but my friends wanted to watch it so I went along with them. My predictions about not enjoying this film were totally correct and I had a miserable time watching this film. First of all, the film is way too long and it is also very inconsistent. Action scenes are monotonous and drawn-out and the whole film feels like a spectacle rather than a cohesive film. I love Johnny Depp and I think he is a great actor but in this film he was way too much and he was overacting a lot. Overall, I do not think this film is worth seeing in the theaters or at the comfort of your home for that matter.
