So I do not want to be mean or negative, therefore I will just say that the movie was bad. Believe me I could have said something way worse, because this film kind of deserves it. First of all, it is supposedd to be a thriller, really?! I was not thrilled or merely interested for one second. The main character Gavin was just standing on the ledge and it seems like he was just chilling. How do you fail to create tension in a movie that is about a guy who is about to kill himself by jumping. The flashbacks and the lack of timeline destroys the tension and in the end you start to want Gavin to jump from that ledge and end it. I am sorry to say but Liv Tyler was not good at all in this film. I absolutely love her, partly because I am huge Lord Of The Rings fan, but in this movie she was just annoying. The movie was not good technically either, some scenes seemed blown out and lit inproperly and the director has no spatial awereness. He failed to create any sense of danger during the rooftop scenes. The sound was off as well and I had a really hard time hearing some of the dialogue. Overall, the movie sucked and i do not recommend seeing it.
I did not like anything about this film and i do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I really like Liv Tyler, i think she is a great actress and I think that she is capable of doing very complex roles, and it pains me to see her in this film because her role is boring and not challenging at all. Liv’s character is so freaking fragile and stupid and it is just plain boring. I think all the actors in the film tried their best to bring their characters to life and to make the best of it, but the plot of the film is too weak and it has too many flaws to make this film work. Overall, i do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters.
