I've watched a lot of doc**entaries about musicians and their rise to fame, this is by far one of the best. Why? It's a great mix of her music, her life, and her. Usually they are missing one of the three, but this was a perfect balance of all of them. And I'm saying that because I'm some kind of die hard Katy Perry fan, it's the truth. Definitely worth seeing and definitely worth seeing in the theater, don't wait for this on DVD as it won't be the same experience.

Katy Perry is probably my favorite female pop artist at the moment - whenever I hear one of her songs, I just can't help but start singing along and probably breaking into a jig as well, lol. But this movie shows that Perry has a startling story to tell behind all the glitz and glamour of being a pop icon. She came from a family that had nothing to do with showbiz and now she rules the roost, so to speak. She discloses a lot of things about her life that I didn't know and it's nice to see someone so down to earth and humble being rewarded in the public eye. The movie is really worth watching for the incredible showmanship (or show-woman-ship?) that Perry puts on as she goes on tour around the world. Say what you want about the blue-haired wonder, the girl knows how to entertain. Just watch how she electrifies the screen with her live performances - you ain't seen nothing like it!

The movie is called Katy Perry: Part of Me which might lead you to believe that she's offering up a piece of herself to audience. What she's really saying, however, is that we, her fans and well-wishers, are a part of her and without us the phenomenon that is Katy Perry would not exist. She's very grateful to her fans for loving her, and this she expresses in the movie on many occasions. She's very candid and open about what it was like to be struggling musician and how she was raised by religious parents who weren't necessarily looking for their daughter to join showbiz. There's little mention of Russell Brand to whom she was married for a short while (hey, at least it wasn't Tom Cruise) but she seems to have lived and learned and moved on, which is a great message for kids and young adults to see someone so successful rebounding from something like that. The movie is awesome in 3D and you will feel like you're watching a real concert whenever it cuts to one. A super treat for any fan of live performance.

My daughter really wanted to see this film and I gave in and saw it with her. I was a bit worried that the film will not be appropriate for a pre-teen girl because Perry seems so sexual but the film was perfectly fine and I actually do not mind my daughter admiring her. I thought the film was interesting and it had some great lessons that I hope my daughter will take to heart. I always tell my kids that you have to work hard in order to succeed and Perry is a perfect example of that and I like that my daughter could see that. We saw the doc**entary in 3D and I don’t think it was worth the extra cash but my daughter thought it was totally awesome so i guess it is worth it in the end.

I am not the biggest fan of Katy Perry, i don’t dislike her but i do not enjoy her music. My friend however is in love with her and she was so excited to see this film and dragged me with her. I thought the doc**entary was quite interesting and touching and I think i like Perry a bit more after seeing this film. I thought that she is very brave by letting cameras film some very intimate and scary moments in her life and I think those moments made this film relatable and genuine. We saw the film in 3D and I am not sure that it is worth the extra cash but I do think that the concert footage looked incredible. Overall, i think this film was pretty entertaining and I had fun watching it.

I would normally only give this movie three stars but it's so much F-U-N that I *have* to give it five! The extra cost of seeing it in 3D is worth it and isn't because half the movie is doc**entary-style interviews while the other half is spruced up footage of Katy Perry's California Dreamin' tour. The scenes of her concerts all around the world with millions of adoring fans come to life in 3D. There's just so much going on you might get dizzy, haha. But the interviews when the family and friends are talking about Katy are really not worth seeing it in 3D. And that's about half the movie. I guess there's no way to get around it since you can't pick which parts are in 3D and which are not, all I know is that I did take off my glasses when we weren't watching concert scenes and it all seemed fine to me. Sometimes those glasses can be a nuisance, but other times they really bring the roof down. Kudos to Katy Perry for putting on an awesome, rockin' show!

I really don't get why they release these concert movies in 3D . . . unless the reason is just to make money off the rabid teenage fans of the pop star in the movie. Like in Justin Bieber's 3D concert movie? What was the point of that? To see his 8 year old ass hanging out of his pants in 3D?

This movie is a lot more fun than Bieber's was, though I think Michael Jackson's is still the best one ever because the music in that one is just amazing. Katy Perry has some catchy songs, but she's not in the same league as the King of Pop. Just like Jackson, however, she knows how to put on an amazing show and she does it really well in this movie by traveling all around the world and finding adoring fans lined up. My favorite was when the four guys dressed up as Katy Perry and showed up at her concert. It was hilarious and you could tell they were loving it. I'm pretty sure Katy loved it too, ha!

Okay, you guys, riddle: what's better than Katy Perry? Why Katy Perry in 3D of course - AAHHHAAAAHHHH!!!!! Seriously, i'm like STILL screaming my head off after seeing this movie in 3D with all of my friends! We just sang along and screamed all the words to her movie which I'm sure you'lll be doing soon once you get to the theater. This is SUCH a fun, fun, fun movie! (Oh, did I mention that it's FUN?!?) You'll get to see Katy Perry like you've never ever seen her before - so candid and so honest about everything in life, including the break up of her marriage to Russell Brand. She talks about it all, giving us access to all the secret parts of her life and what it's like to be a celebrity and especially what it's like to be her. That's why her fans love her so much, she just gets us and knows exactly how to deliver. This is the closest thing to getting to a Katy Perry concert that there is, so I suggest you grab your friends, put on the 3D glasses, and start singin' along 'cuz it's like the funnest fun time at the movies - EVAH!!!
