I am a big fan of Rowan Atkinson and I thought that this film was alright, i do not know if i recommend seeing it in the theaters but I definitely recommend renting it. It is a feel-good movie that does not involve thinking, it is light and charming and it has a great lead actor that has a plastic face. I think that this film would have failed miserably if it did not star Rowan Atkinson, he made this film what it is. It is definitely a family friendly film and a great way to introduce you r children to Atkinson(Mr. Bean needs to be introduced first however). -
I had to be reminded that Johnny English Reborn was the sequel to Johnny English, which came out all the way back in 2003. You'll be forgiven if you don't remember it either; it wasn't around for very long. So why a sequel? I don't know.
Star Rowan Atkinson can be funny. Mr. Bean was funny. Johnny English is not. And this sequel pretty much just recycles jokes from the first film. It's a lot of goofy slapstick and sequences that seem to go on forever, even if they only last a few minutes.
If you think a guy getting kicked in the crotch is funny, this might be a film you would like. If not, don't even bother. Though no one really bothered the first time, so why would they bother now? -
I liked this comedy and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. I thought that the film was charming and very funny without being nasty and stupid. I am a big fan of Rowan Atkinson and I loved seeing him again on the big screen, the man is super talented and funny. I thought that the film was fast-paced and I really like that in the comedies, however the sequel did not seem too different from the previous film and I felt like many scenes were recycled. Overall, if you are a fan of Rowan Atkinson, you will like this film. -
This is a comedy about Johnny English batteling assassins who are trying to kill Chinese premier, the film is directed by Oliver Parker and stars Rowan Atkinson, Rosamund Pike and Dominic West. I thought that the film is alright but i do not recommend seeing it in the theaters because it is not worth the price of the movie ticket. There were enough laughs but they were not big laughs. The film is easy going and charming but mainly due to Rowan Atkinson who looks the same as he did 10 years ago. I felt like the comedy was for the younger audience and I thought that many jokes were a bit silly.
