I had high expectations for this film because it has such an amazing cast and I also really enjoy magic. I thought the film was alright, it definitely did not live up to my expectations but I had a moderately good time watching this film. I think the film suffered because of the way the story was told and there were too many moments in the film where there was no laughter and the story really staled. The performances from Carrey, Carrell, and Arkin definitely made this film much more fun to watch, however they were not able to salvage it completely. Overall, this film is not really worth seeing on the big screen but you might want to rent it when it comes out on DVD. -
I was really excited to see this film because it has such a great cast and the trailer looked pretty funny, however I was quite disappointed with and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I found the film to be quite dumb and not really funny, I thought couple of the characters were good but overall the film was not good. Alan Arkin was definitely my favorite and he made me laugh the most, Carrey and Carrell were good as well but did not really bring anything new to the table. I found the film to be quite boring and did not like the way the story unraveled. Overall, I do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters because it is not worth your time or money.
