I Am Number Four Movie Reviews
User reviews on I Am Number Four
I absolutely loved this film and I do realize that this movie was probably meant for teenagers, but I do not care, it was awesome. The movie has romance, action, awesome special effects and cool looking aliens. Basically it has everything that I look for in a sci-fi film. Director D. J. Caruso is known for making thrilling and entertaining movies and this one is no different. The film was exciting and thrilling and amazing visually. Alex Pettyfer is certainly nice to look at and he gives pretty good performance as well. Diane Agron, who plays the love interest of the alien, is very cute and she is a good actress as well. Overall, I highly recommend this film and I can assure you that you will be highly entertained.
I really really liked this film and I am very glad I saw it on the big screen. It is absolutely awesome visually and the special effects are amazing. I found it so much fun to watch and it does help that the main character played by Alex Pettyfer who is so hot that it was hard to look at him without drooling. The film is interesting and has some nice twists, i was highly entertained and that is all I want from this type of movie. D.J. Caruso is known for creating intensity in his films and this movie was not an exception. I mean I loved “Eagle Eye” and this movie was even better. Overall, I totally loved this film and will tell everyone to go and see it.
What would happen if Edward Cullen was actually an alien? I'm sure this is never a question you cared to ask yourself. Unfortunately, the makers of I Am Number Four felt this was an important question to answer. A horrible hybrid of Twilight and sci-fy, I Am Number Four is the worst type of movie. It's bad enough when a movie tries to cater to everyone, but even worse when it feels as calculated as this one does.
Alex Pettyfer stars as an alien on the run from another group of aliens trying to kill him. He ends up at an Ohio high school where he falls for a hottie, has to deal with jealous jocks, and figure out how to deal with his super abilities. Oh, and how not to be killed by the aliens trying to kill him. If only he just had to deal with werewolves.
This movie has a cliche for everyone, which is why it satisfies no one. By trying to focus on too many ideas, the filmmakers have no focus at all. The teen angst is half baked, and just when it might get interesting, it turns into a CGI mess. What's worse, the end tries to set up a sequel that I don't think anyone will miss if it never appears. I also still don't understand why this guy is Number Four. Maybe it's explained in the book the movie is based on. But then, why do I need to see the movie in the first place?
