I did not like this movie at all. The only thing I DID like about it was the cast, which means nothing. Now the reason I did not like this movie was because, though it is not fair to say, that it was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the book. The book was great, though it wasn't Harry Potter or Twilight, and the fact that the movie was SO incredibly different just pissed me off from the start. The movie had its good aspects, though they were few, but if you walk into the movie expecting the a great Block Buster you saw on previews like I did, then do not watch this movie. And it has nothing to do with the fact of it being similar to Twilight like other people think, like its some sort of copycat, because this movie is its own thing, but I just think that the movie makers did a TERRIBLE job of converting the book to the movie; they even changed the ending from the book ending and what happened to certain characters in different scenes of it, it was like they wanted to spend no money at all on the movie. Even my friends who did not read the book thought it wasn't nearly as good as the commercials made it out to be. If you read the book like me, then DO NOT WATCH this disgrace of film, because you will NOT like it.

Awesome Scify film with plenty of action. They clearly left it open for another film. I loved the dog. He was too cool. I would have liked for them to spend more time with them discovering their powers though.

I enjoyed this movie. It has an interesting mix of action, special effects, and plot/character development. There is an interesting dynamic between the main characters. The movie ends in a way that plainly leaves it open for a sequel. If it comes, I'll buy a ticket (unless I've sworn off film by then.)
I like to see these for what they are: psychological front-loading.
This movie, like many others, and especially film targeted toward youth and children, pit some "good" aliens versus some "bad" aliens. The good aliens help mankind, the bad ones want to destroy humanity and rape the planet of it's resources. In the end, the "good aliens" remain on earth.
Think: Superman Apacolypse (cartoon for kids), Owls of Gha'houl (even the bad-guy leader is missing his right eye, just like the antichrist of Revelation), Monsters vs. Aliens, and many other recent movies.
We all have to wonder... Why does Hollywood want us to believe in Savior aliens??? Why is this theme so popular?

I Am Number Four was not a great movie. I wasn’t really expecting much when I was walking into the theater but even then I was disappointed. The movie is basically Twilight for young boys. It recreates teenage angst with a topping of supernatural powers. It is basically a teenager movie mixed with Xmen. The stars of the movie are all very good looking young people, none of which I have ever heard of before. The entire time I was watching this movie I was thinking about how lame and corny I thought every scene was. The only saving factor was the action scenes and those were very cool. The had a Michael Bay-brand theme to them because they were so over the top. The graphics were absolutely amazing. If they just made an entire film of the action scenes the movie would have been much better. The acting was poor but again I wasn’t expecting much in that department.

This is a sci-fi action thriller that is directed by DJ Caruso and starsTimothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Alex Pettyfer,Jake Abel, Kevin Durand, Callan McAuliffe. This film was most definitely made for teenagers and if you are not one, I recommend staying away from this film. The film is very shallow and does not have any deeper meaning whatsoever but I did have fun watching it. The film is amazing visually and the action scenes are super fun and definitely entertaining(especially the explosions). Alex Pettyfer did an alright job with this role and I do think he will be in every teenage girl’s dreams from now on. Dianna Agron was a little bit stiff and I do not think that Agron and Pettyfer had any chemistry and they did not make a believable coupe. Overall, if you are not a teenage girl/boy, you should not see this film.

I Am Number Four is the latest supernatural thriller starring teenagers. In this Twilight-like movie, a group of aliens have ran from their planet to inhabit earth as teenagers in high school. This film definitely had some of the coolest special effects I have seen in a movie in a long time. The kids had special abilities which were awesome. The characters in this film could definitely win in a fight against the characters from Twilight. One thing I was especially aware of is the most obvious iphone product placement. I can’t take any movie seriously that has product placement. Someone who has pride in their film would never whore out a their baby to make a few extra bucks. I guess the movie’s producers thought the film wouldn’t do very well otherwise. The sound track was very good as a last little piece of thought.

Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay get together to produce this film starring Timothy Olyphant. I Am Number Four was definitely a cool movie but I wouldn’t say it was excellent. The movie is about a group of aliens who just left their planet before it was destroyed by another species. They are currently hiding out on earth as teenagers in high school, which was kind of odd. This movie had a little too much teenage angst in it for me. However, the visuals were absolutely amazing but what do you expect from producers like Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay. The actors were pretty good actually, most of who I have never seen before. Olyphant was especially good as the father figure, which I have never seen him play before. Overall this is a good movie but I wouldn’t be rushing to theaters to watch it.

When production companies say “Produced by so and so” as a way to sell a film, I really hate that. I Am Number Four is no different. Produced by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg, I Am Number Four is an action thriller starring Timothy Olyphant. I really like Timothy Olyphant as an actor and he has been getting a lot of new roles lately. The first thing I didn’t like about the movie is the title. Second, it is about two teenage kids who can’t be together because of supernatural reasons. Does this sound like another movie to you? It sure did to me. This is like a more science fiction version of Twilight. I guess that is how they were hoping to sell the movie. There are definitely some good parts about the movie. I got scared a few times and there were plenty of thrills but in my opinion it just didn’t deliver

I really enjoyed this silly movie and I am not ashamed of it. It is not original and does not provide anything new but it has a decent amount of thrills and it even scared me couple of times. The film is full of action and it also has romance, making it THE movie for teenagers. I am not a teenager myself, but from time to time i enjoy this kind of mindless entertainment. The movie is nice to look at and the special effects are not annoying and there is not too much of them either. As for the cast, Alex Pettyfer does a solid job and he is good in action and in romance scenes. I think the kid will make it in Hollywood. I also enjoyed Timothy Olyphant’s performance and Dianna Agron is quite good as well. Overall, it is a good action/thriller movie with great visuals and solid performances. I recommend seeing this film on a big screen.
