How to Train Your Dragon 2 Movie Reviews

Something really funny just happened. I tried to post an honest review about this movie, saying that it was palatable but nothing worth seeing. After I posted it, I got a message from the Mr. Movies website indicating that my post was flagged as being spam! This movie is about as good as a Spam sandwich. It's not a horrible movie, but nothing to see if you don't have kids. I'll just be glad when my kids are old enough to go to the movies on their own. I miss seeing real movies. If you don't have kids, why would you see this? Really?
This film is as good as the first one and that says a lot. We loved the first one and the charm of it. This one continues the charm and adds a reality of life that my wife found disturbing and unnecessary (I won't give it away). I found the pace to be a bit frantic at times, I barely had a chance to catch my breath before the next plot development was unfolding on the screen. The visual beauty of the film only enhanced the quality of the story and the humor. We saw it in 3D and found that the additional money was well spent. The 3D gives the film a visual depth that would have been lacking in the 2D version.
With all that said, the centerpiece of any film has to be the story and this film has come up with a strong one. Part of the charm in the telling of the story has to be the actor playing Hiccup. He brings a vulnerability to the role that helps to sell it. I really loved this movie and look forward to the next one.
Vikings & Dragons - cool, but what I really liked about this film is that it is a children's movie the encourages children to think for themselves.
