I thought his animation was alright but I do not think it is worth seeing in the theaters unless you have children and there is nothing better to see. I thought the film was quite unoriginal and it became boring pretty fast. i also did not think that the characters were fun or interesting so my overall experience was very mediocre and I kind of regret that I spend my money on this film. I also did not find this animation funny at all and I did not like the moralization of the whole story either. I felt that the whole film and the characters were very exaggerated and forced and I did not have a good time watching this film.
I took my nephew and my niece to see this film and they seem to like it but they are really young and it is easy to please them, however I did not have a good time at all. I thought the film was pretty boring and unimaginative and the characters were not fun or interesting, they felt forced and way too over the top. I thought that the voice cast was pretty good but i found Sandler’s voice to be very annoying, however I am biased because I highly dislike him. I forgot about this film the minute I left the theater and in my mind this film is not really worth your time or money.
Starring Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg, Hotel Transylvania is an animated film about the most old school monsters around including mummy, dracula, invisible man, and werewolves. This movie is a comedy (obviously, since it is starring Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg, both from SNL fame) and is pretty funny right off the bat. The story is great and unique and pretty easy to follow. They made the story easy to follow because this movie is made for kids. I’m glad kids are going to be introduced to the scary monsters I grew up with. The animation is great and I laughed pretty much the whole movie. It doesn’t try to do anything too crazy but still is imaginative enough to keep me interested. Great movie overall.
Hotel Transylvania is an animated comedy starring Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg. The last movie these two were in together was pretty bad but Hotel Transylvania was great. Hotel Transylvania is about class monsters from the mummy, dracula, the invisible man and more who get together at the hotel and are free to be who they are. The entire thing comes crashing down when I human stumbles upon the hotel. This movie is funny, cute, and the animation is great. Their take on these classic monsters is also very good. This movie is great for kids but doing it the Pixar way, it is also very good for the adults bringing the kids to the theater as well. It’s a great family comedy with something to offer everyone.
This movie was mega cute, though I admit it probably isn't for just adults. Those who want to see the movie should probably take their little kids or nieces and nephews along because their laughter will be what makes the movie fun. It's a pretty typical animated story about a girl who has daddy issues - except that her daddy is Count Dracula. He has built and run a hotel called Hotel Transylvania where monsters, ghouls, and goblins of all sorts can enjoy their time away from angry mobs of humans wielding pitchforks. The story really takes off when the teen girl falls in love with a human who accidentally happens upon the hotel. He is as clueless as clueless can be, which is pretty funny for this movie. I really loved all of the voice performances, especially Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, and Adam Sandler . . . and even Fran Drescher. Her voice can be hilarious is used the right way. A cute movie for the family.
When I saw this trailer the first time during Brave in June I was SO excited to see this movie. It is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky who helped bring The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory to the small screen on Cartoon Network (back when they actually used to show cartoons!) which were two of my absolutely favorite shows EVER! The same spark and sense of fun is alive in this movie, which bounces and bounds all the way from beginning to end. I really loved the whole thing about the father-daughter relationship that makes up the heart of the movie. As a teen, we can all relate to the battles between parent and teenager which everyone has experienced. I also thought the best performance in the movie was by Andy Samberg who kinda sort makes up for his awful work in the terrible movie "Thats My Boy". I hope this movie gets a sequel, it's super mega cute!
Oh goodness, I *loved* this movie! It was so sweet and fun and entertaining, made me wish that every Hollywood flick could be this great. It's especially great if you have small children because they and their parents will absolutely adore it. I'm not sure that teens will really like it as much even though it is about Dracula's teenage daughte (she's 118 years old, which I guess is teen in Vampire years). My nine year old LOVED it and was laughing all the way through. He especially liked the parts about the human hitchhiker who ends up at the hotel and must cajole the monsters into letting him live, lol. It's really funny. I also generally do not care for Adam Sandler, but he really gave a sweet performance as Dracula in this. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see something that's fun and fresh and not scary like Paranorman was!
There are many reasons to want to see Hotel Transylvania: it is beautifully animated, enthusiastically voiced, and to be fair, there are many, many worse movies out there right now. Unfortunately, this may not be enough of a reason to see the film as it is also the weakest animated feature to release since this summer's epic disappointment that was Ice Age 4. If Ray Romano and John Leguizamo couldn't save an animated romp, then there's no reason to assume that Adam Sandler could do the same (and what's with Sandler playing all these daddy roles all of a sudden? Do we really want to see him as a father to ANYONE??) I had hoped that this movie would be a surprise, that it would bring the smartness of Dexter and the Powerpuff Girls to the fore while also being fun and funny. It only half succeeds, and then it half fails - pretty badly. The script is hogwash and you can tell that this is a classic case of too many chefs spoiling the broth. How many assistant directors does one movie need? Check the credits and be amazed. A definite disappointment. BOO!!!
