Um, okay, someone needs to tell Dax Sheperd that he's a poor man's Joel McHale. But I still give this movie FIVE stars because it has my DREAMIEST man ALIVE Bradley Cooper! I was kind of annoyed to see that he's basically playing second fiddle to Dax Sheperd, but then he wouldn't have suited the main character who's supposed to be this illiterate small town guy with no class...just like what he played in "Baby Mama". And let's face it: Bradley Cooper OOZES upscale appeal. Kristen Bell was decent in her part, and Tom Arnold had a few good moments, but the best part of this movie is the way it takes the road trip movie into new territory. It kind of reminded me of "Due Date" with Robert Downey and Zach Galifiankis, but this one was less weird and more funny. I hope I get to see more comedies with Bradley Cooper because he really know how to deliver a punchline and looks purrrrrrfect doing it!
Yup, you guessed it, this is another attempt to out-Hangover "The Hangover" with so-so results, except that it is a really, really funny movie. It's about a small town couple played by Dax Sheperd and Kristen Bell that takes a roadtrip to what they think is the opportunity of a lifetime. Of course, it turns out to be anything but once they find themselves being chased by an old friend (Bradley Cooper) and a loony federal marshall (Tom Arnold). The thing that I loved most about this movie was that it was obvious that they had a blast making it. A lot of comedies you can tell were enjoyed from the first shot to the wrap party, and Dax Sheperd and Bradley Cooper seem to genuine enjoy each other's company. Tom Arnold also surprised me with a really funny performance that lets him be a goofball and a douche bag at the same time: if any one can play that, it's Arnold. Very funny, even if it's no "Hangover".
