This was a weird film and I am not sure if i should recommend seeing it in the theaters but I definitely think you should rent it because it is different and you might love it. I am still not sure if i liked it or I hated it but I know one thing, I definitely keep remembering it and talking about it and that says something. This film has a strong and unique voice and i have not seen that in movies lately, it was refreshing. However, some parts of the film just does not work and the tone of the film is a bit inconsistent. Overall, it was an interesting and different film and even though it is not worth seeing in the theaters I think it is worth seeing it at home.

I thought this film was pretty good and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. I thought the film was pretty funny, it had an interesting story, likable characters and a great cast that makes everything that much better. I loved that the film had a fast pace and it never got boring. THe film has a perfect balance of great comedy and action and Dax Shepard is one talented guy because he not only acted but also wrote and directed this film. I really did not expect this film to be as good as it was and I think it is worth seeing in the theaters.

Poor Dax Sheperd: he’ll never get Hollywood to cast him as anything other than a wayward loser boyfriend or as a nice-guy conman trying to make good for his past. I still remember him as Amy Poehler’s hilariously awful boyfriend in Baby Mama that went to extraordinary lengths to exploit her uterus and even what ended up being his firstborn child. There’s just something about him that just says “loveable douche” to audiences, and even Dax Sheperd realizes this as he has written himself yet another nice guy/douchebag role in the new comedy Hit & Run.

The premise is pretty standard as far as chase comedies go: a guy in the desert named Charlie (Sheperd) has to get his girlfriend Annie (Kristen Bell) to Los Angeles for a big job interview. Being the sweetheart that he is, he wants her to succeed in everything she’s ever hoped for. Unfortunately, he was once involved in a bank robbery and still owes his old cohorts some money, which brings out of the woodwork many a bloodthirsty ex-con eager to wrap their fingers around Charlie’s LA-bound neck. These include Bradley Cooper as a dreadlocked lunatic psychopath named ALex and Tom Arnold as a buffoonish FBI agent with a big secret (hint: he’s gay). They all end up chasing Charlie and Annie across the state of California in what turns into an absurd ride full of rambunctious and hilarious anecdotes, escapades, and musings on life, love, and the pursuit of fleeting happiness. In the end, that’s what this movie’s really about: the lengths we go to to make even the smallest joys a reality, because life is, after all, a big swirling mass of despair and difficulty. I know, isn’t that hilarious?

The ending is a bit much and gets very farcical very fast, but you can tell the cast had an absolute blast shooting this which makes it enjoyable until the last 20 minutes or so. Sheperd is especially good in the lead (how could he not be at this point?) but Tom Arnold and Bradley Cooper steal almost every scene they’re in by playing against type. I hope for Sheperd’s career’s sake he will get at least once chance to play a suave or straitlaced guy. Give him a haircut, trim that beard, and slip him into a tuxedo: Dax Sheperd in the Cary Grant role would be something to behold.

I thought that, compared to a steaming pile of bull s*** this movie was pretty good. The premise of the movie is this: Dax Sheppard want's to get in the hot blonde's pants. So he makes a s***ty movie to try and accomplish that. Here's hoping his d*** rots and falls off.

I did not like this film and do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. It is not like this film was horrible, I actually enjoyed watching this movie but it was really mediocre and I do not think it is worth seeing in the theaters. I was also confused about the tone of the film and that was a bit annoying. I really liked the cast of this film and I enjoyed watching Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard as a couple, they had great chemistry together. Overall, the film was nothing special but pretty entertaining and it is a great movie to enjoy at the comfort of your house.

I thought this film was alright but I do not think that it is worth seeing in the theaters because it is not worth the price of the ticket. The film was kind of weird because it could not decide if it was a romantic comedy or a wacky adventure comedy. Because of this jumping between genres I could not really focus on the characters and it made the film kind of pointless. The film was kind of fun to watch but I think that watching it at home is a better idea than seeing it in the theaters.

"Hit & Run" works, if only partially, but enough so that everyone in the theatre will probbaly chuckle more than they catch themselves looking at their watches. It's about Dax Sheperd driving his girlfriend Kirsten Bell to Los Angeles for a bigtime job interview. It would seem like a simple enough proposition, except that Dax Sheperd is wanted by just about everyone in the Southwest for scheming or stealing or lying his way out of a scramble. That brings him in close contact with a former friend turned psychopath played by Bradley Cooper and am FBI agent who is on the hunt for more than just an outlaw (hint: he's gay). The movie is funniest when it isn't trying to be funny, which means it's at its best when the characters are just talking and interacting. The ending gets pretty convoluted but it's still relatively enjoyable. On the whole, a good movie, if you can forgive the last 30-35 minutes.

This movie has its moments, though I think most of them belonged to Tom Arnold who comes pretty close to stealing the movie from the younger, hipper stars. But one thing I don't get is why Dax Sheperd always (and I mean ALWAYS) plays the same character: he's always a kind of lowlife sc**bag who has only a barely elementary school education and who tries to cash in on a big scheme through his wife or girlfriend. Unfortunately, my sons think he's hilarious so they were cracking up every time he showed up on screen. I think he was on a si. corecently where he played a loser dad and this is basically an extension of that character. Bradley Cooper is pretty good as the straight man just as he was in The Hangover, though this movie is less risque and more wacky than anything he's ever done. I look forward to the day when Cooper is cast as the wacky guy and Sheperd the straight man. It will be a refreshing change of pace...

Hardy Har HAR all the way to the . . . gas station?! This is the basic premise of the movie which takes the traditional road trip format and makes it a laugh riot. I don't get why more people don't like Dax Sheperd, he's really charming in a goofball kind of way, and he and Kristen Bell make an absolutely adorable and hilarious couple in this movie. I have to admit that this movie did not always make sense, but since it's a mainstream Hollywood comedy, it doesn't have to. After all, people still pay millions to see the Madea movies, so why not this one too? I laughed out loud (very loud) at some parts, especially when Bradley Cooper and Dax Sheperd were having one of their many exchanges in the movie that show how their friendship has strained them over the years. This is one of the funniest movies to come out all summer, probably only second to "Ted", in my honest opinion. Hope there's a sequel!
