Lovely unique premise gives a disturbing but realistic look into the future of relationships, work, and everyday life. Amazing performances. Amazing cinematography. It does drag quite a bit at times though.
I went into this movie with the high hope that my wife and I would have something interesting to discuss afterwards and a movie that would give me a moving theatrical experience, I mean it's Spike Jonze! Instead I got a film about the irony of evolution and a film that was more situational then plot. There's NO conflict in this movie or even any problems to be struggled through. The characters are happy with their situations and then one day "POOF" things change because that's what relationships do: they evolve. The problem for me came when the evolution happened without allowing for conflict or even discussion. The film also made a comment that I found unfounded in that no one in the film had a long term human relationship that worked. OUCH!!
I can't say that I would recommend seeing this on the big screen, but I would suggest renting it for a small one.
I did not know anything about this film except that it has to do something with artificial intelligence, so I wrote it off as a sci-fi flick and prepared myself to be disappointed. I am glad to say that I was very wrong about this film, I was quite impressed with it and highly recommend seeing it on the big screen. It’s a film about modern human relationships and it is written in such way that really resonates with my generation, well at least it resonated with me. It is a sad love story and I liked the themes that this film was discussing, I think they are important to discuss. I found the film to be delightfully entertaining and I hope people will see it on the big screen and encourage their friends to see it as well.
This was a beautiful film about love and modern relationships, about letting go and letting it be. I loved every moments of this movie and recommend seeing it on the big screen or at the comfort of your home, as long as you end up seeing it. I found this film to be quite original and beautiful in a sad way and it felt quite personal even though it also provides a statement about all of society that we live in. I loved the dialogue in this film, it was very well written and beautifully delivered. It is a great film for grown ups, I found it to be very insightful and true and I hope people will enjoy it as much as i did.
