I saw the movie for my birthday. I liked it very much. Things didn't seem to tie together very well, however, it was a great movie. It is not for young children, at all. I'm going to see it again tonight, so I'll get a better understanding, started the book, and then was invited to the movie, the book as always was incredible!

I thought that HP5 was good, like all of the HP movies. Although this happens to be hte shortest one, I think they portrayed Harry too deep, too fast. I did not get to see the ending because the theater I was in cut off the ending of the movie, due to 'projector problems.' The graphics are getting better and better as the movies progress. I can't wait for the rest of the movies.

I thought Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix was a good movie. I loved the last movie...it was my favorite until I saw the 5th movie. Of course, the book is always better. All of the characters look so much older! Especially Ron and Harry. Although the movie was the shortest out of all the others, it seemed like the longest. Go see it! (=

I agree with some of the comments I have seen....this was the longest book in the series which had very dark matters in it but was the shortest movie.....seeme d stunted and if I had not read the book I would not have realized the depth of what was going on.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix can be seen as a study in truncated filmmaking. The Producers and director took the longest book in the series ( 800 pages) and turned it into the shortest movie in the series( clocking in at 2h 18 m ). In doing so they have taken out entire plot points and at times a few minor characters. Not to say that this was a bad move. What we get however is a very lean film that never falters off pace, and holds your attention. This is the darkest Potter film yet ( not really for little kiddos) and shows us that Harry and his friends are in very real danger. The last twenty minutes of the film is ablaze with action ( if you have read the book you will know what i mean) and the creepy sets and music only add to the tension. All in all this is on par with Goblet as the better of the Potter Films.

I have read all the books and will read the next one as soon as it comes out. I have seen all the movies and they are all wonderful this one is just as wonderful if not more so. I know things vary from the book, but that is to be expected. This movie was spectacular. If you haven't seen it then go see it.

Well, I actually loved this one just slightly more than the third one, which I thought was just a beautiful movie. But this is not the same kind of movie at all. There is a sense of realism creeping in (and lots of modern day political context)that amps up the tension quite a bit. Of course, this is true of the books as well, but the cinematic version takes a different tack in achieving this, as is obvious from the very first scene. And Radcliffe as Harry does his first real acting in this film. I highly recommend.

Let's play nice, kids... everyone is entitled to their opinions about the movie and what they should have included or left out. I enjoyed the movie, even though I thought the book was better. I like in depth character development which is hard to come by in a movie where they have so many characters to introduce.Note to reviewer prior to mine: they use veritaserum, which is a combination of veritas (which means truth in Latin) and serum. Just a little trivia for you- I enjoyed and agreed with your review. I know people will appreciate your spoiler alert. It is nice that people on this web site show courtesy to others!
