So thank you Hollywood for devouring yet another wonderful book . This movie was absolutely the worst I have seen in a long long time. I am still enraged by it and want my money and time back. The movie was chronically unfunny, incredibly stupid, extremely boring and with no deeper meaning whatsoever. I don’t know what the director was thinking when he looked at the end result and decided that this is worth big screen. The movie flopped in every single area and when I thought that this could not get worse, it did every time. I already don’t like Jack Black and after this movie I just simply hate him. As always he was playing the same stupid character and blabbering nonsense. I took my little sister to see it with me and she didn’t like it either, oh and she is eight years old! So if this movie was supposed to be for younger audience, it failed miserably in that department as well. I would not recommend this movie to my worst enemy, it is that bad.
Gulliver’s Travels starring Jack Black, Jason Segal and Emily Blunt is a comedy based on a novel “Gulliver’s Travels,” written by Jonathan Swift. This movie pretty much sucked the whole time and I fell asleep a couple of times. I don’t know why I thought this movie would be good, it stars Jack Black and he is the worst. I think the movie was supposed to be funny, but they did not get one laugh from me. It did a horrible job of recreating the magic of the highly favored book. The storyline was horrific and the acting was not on par, with the exception of Emily Blunt. Emily Blunt is my favorite actress and I do not know why she agreed to be in this low quality film when she has been in so many winners. Overall I would give this movie an F- and urge people not to see it.
