This movie was a bit slow for the first 15 minutes but after that it became very exciting. The fight scene was fantastic!! All four of us are in our 50's so we appreciated the wonderful cast & story.....Kevin Hart, though, was annoying. Yes, must go!!!
I did not want to see this film because it looked pretty bad judging from the trailers and I did not want to waste my time on it. My friend dragged me with him and I wish I refused to go because it was a waste of my money and time. It is a loud and obnoxious film with a silly story that did not need to be told. I did not like that the film was trying to manipulate audience’s emotions, it was really annoying. I also found this movie to be quite depressing, I left the theater feeling down. Even in-ring battle choreography was pretty bad and that was the whole point of the film. Anyway, I suggest skipping this film and going to see something that is worth your time and money.
I knew that this film will not be good and I went anyway due to a winy boyfriend and the feeling of guilt. I really wish i did not waste my time and money on this film because it was totally not worth it. The film was loud, obnoxious and so full of cliches that I wanted to throw my shoe at the screen, it made me so angry. I also found the film to be quite depressing and it was not well made at all. My boyfriend was also disappointed and he said that in-ring fight scenes were really badly choreographed and it looked silly. I did not care much about that, I just hated the film overall. Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro tried to make the best of it and gave likable performances but they really did not have much to work with and I felt really bad for them. I suggest skipping this film and seeing The Wolf Of Wall Street instead, it is a superior film in every aspect.
