Back in 1987, Bill Cosby starred in a movie called LEONARD PART SIX. It won the Trifecta at the Razzies: Worst Actor, Worst Picture, and Worst Screenplay. Cosby himself went on record denouncing it as a horrible movie and discouraged people from going to see it, weeks before it was even released.
GREEN HORNET stands a very good chance at duplicating that Trifecta.
In most cases I try & find at least ONE redeeming quality to warrant giving a film at least two stars. Sorry, not today.

First lets just say I'm done with paying extra for 3-D. Cato rocks , Seth Rogen not so much... Overall the action scenes are great.

I'm not sure who thought it would be a good idea to turn Seth Rogen into an action hero. His dopey stoner act is starting to wear thin already, and he hasn't shown much range in any of his other roles, so it this pairing was already strange on paper. Unfortunately, it's just as strange onscreen. The Green Hornet takes an old character and tries to make him palatable for today's audience, with predictably lame results.
Rogen plays Britt Reid, newspaper heir and, in this film, doofus party animal. Normally, when a complete moron decides to become a vigilante, there is some inner turmoil that comes out which deepens the character. But this is Rogen, and god forbid he try to stretch his acting chops, but of course, he continues his snarky, sarcastic dialogue throughout. John Chou as his crafty sidekick Kato is better, though he's not a native speaker, and many times, its hard to understand him. Christoph Waltz and Cameron Diaz, in supporting roles, are make little impact.
Besides a post-production 3D process that needs to go away immediately, the most disappointing thing about this movie is that it was directed by Michel Gondry and looks like it was directed by, well, it doesn't matter. You hire Michel Gondry to give you a whimsical, surreal look. This movie looks like just about every other boring action film out there, with little of the flair and style you would expect. It's all just a disappointing beginning to a franchise that may die before it even flaps its wings.

This movie was totally awesome in 3D. Directed by Michel Gondry and starring Edward Furlong, Cameron Diaz, Tom Wilkinson, Seth Rogen, and Christoph Waltz this movie is very entertaining. I was very glad that I have decided to see it in 3D, because it made the movie that much better. The storyline is not very original but the film is packed with awesome action scenes and special effects and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film. The soundtrack of the movie is also very good and I caught myself dancing in my seat couple of times. All the actors in the film did a very good job and I was so happy Cameron Diaz is in the movie, because she is so unbelievably hot and also a great actress. Seth Rogen was kind of weird in this role as a crime fighting vigilante, I wish they have chose a different actor. Do not get me wrong, I love Seth Rogen, he is an awesome comedian but he was not right for this role. Tom Wilkinson was very good and charming as Britt Reid, however I thought that Seth Rogen would have been perfect for this character. Overall, I thought that the movie rocked and I definitely recommend seeing it in 3D, because it is 3 times better that way.

Green Hornet, starring Seth Rogan as Britt Reid, was a great movie. I saw this film in 3D, which only made the film that much better. Green Hornet also stars Jay Chou as Reid’s trusty sidekick Kato. Green Hornet is I believe an old comic book series, which the movie is based on. The director is Michel Gondry, who took a big risk casting Seth Rogan as the leading role in a superhero movie. Usually, 3D movies give me a headache and hurt my eyes but lately they have been getting better and better with that respect. This movie is no different. I started to get a headache from the glasses but soon it was gone and I was enjoying this very visually stunning movie. My friend had seen this in 2D and also enjoyed it so I don’t know how much difference the 3D aspect added to the film but I enjoyed it. The movie was both funny and action packed. The two main characters had great dialogue and I felt like I was rooting for them the entire time. This is definitely not a movie for everyone but for anyone who enjoys superhero films, this is a must see.
