I was so bored during this film, my friend really wanted to see this film so he dragged me along and i hate him a little bit fr that. The film s full of special effects and other dazzling stuff but underneath all that it is an extremely boring film with absolutely no substence. I have not seen the first film and do not know how bad that one was but I know that this film sucked in every possible aspect. I used to love Nicolas Cage, he was a good actor, sadly in these days he seems to only care for the money. Overall, I suggest you save your time and money and see a film that has a message or at least has a purpose.
I do not care what everybody says about this film, I had a good time watching it and if you liked the previous film I recommend seeing this one as well. I saw the film in 3D and I definitely recommend doing that because it looked awesome and 3D really added to the whole experience. I thought the story was pretty interesting and I liked the characters, I do have to admit that the dialogue was a bit stupid but I think the director meant it to be like that. I thought Nicolas Cage did a great job with the role and I have read that he really researched the character and it shows in the film. I thought the film had great special effects and I enjoyed the action scenes as well.
I do not even understand why the second film has been made because the first one sucked so bad so why then make another one? As you can already suspect, the film was really bad and I definitely do not recommend seeing it in the theaters because it will be a waste of your money. I left the theaters more angry at myself than the filmmakers because I willingly paid money for this film which was not worth it at all. Nicolas Cage basically gave up on his career and acts solely for the money and it is so obvious. The film has some cool special effects I guess and it does look alright in 3D but it is still not worth your time and I suggest you see some other movie.
