i really enjoyed this movie judd apatow's best movie so far all the character's have there funny moments but i really hated jason schwartzman's in this movie because his character is useless, and pointless and the length of the movie is perfect unlike everyone is saying so if you haven't seen this go watch it

Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews. Probably all done by religious people, old people or people that just like to write negative reviews. Whenever someone says they were offended by language you know what you're dealing with. There are some awkward moments in the beginning and it takes a little while to settle in but once you do its a good time. Despite being longer than average I never got bored. Jason Schwartzman and Jonah Hill in particular really deliver. Topping it off is a great soundtrack.

When you can't write decent dialogue, then use profanity and references to genitals as much as possible. This will allow young people to snicker all the way through the movie. This movie had potential, according to it's subject matter. It is terrible - not a comedy, not a drama, just a disaster. The director and writer need to find other work. Seth Rogan and Adam Sandler fams might enjoy this garbage, but both actors have a history of making some good films and then making junk like this. Not only is it difficult to watch, it's way too long. it might have worked if it was a cleaned up Saturday Night Live sketch.

I will say that it was long and some parts dragged a little, but that happens in movies. What people have to realize is that this movie isn't supposed to be a laugh-a-thon. There are some pretty funny parts in the movie, but it's more like a drama. Sure they cuss a lot, but I know plenty of respectable people who AREN'T comedians who curse more than they did in that movie. The majority of dialogue and scenarios from this movie were based on real events that occurred during the early years of Judd Apatow's and Adam Sandler's careers. This movie was supposed to show a different and unique perspective on fame that comes with being a comedian like Adam Sandler. This movie is supposed to teach viewers a lesson about enjoying what you have and not separating yourself from the rest of the world, because there may be a time when you desperately need someone - and no one's there. I think once people realize what this movie is supposed to be and what it's supposed to convey, they'll realize that it's actually a really good movie.

Horrible movie. Adam Sandler owes me a refund for my ticket. Swearing and low brow sexual jokes throughout. If this what people think is funny, our society is in trouble.

I didn’t care about any of the characters. They were mean and uncaring people.

Despite the bad reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was heartwarming and fresh. It wasn't a Happy Madison type comedy, so if that is what is expected you might be disappointed. The humor was more along the lines of Spanglish, which also flopped but I found wonderful. This movie has a lot to offer for an open-minded viewer. Seth Rogan and Adam Sandler make a great duo.

I agree, it had a fairly decent story line that was overshadowed by the constant use or profanity. Why does Hollywood think cursing, swearing and profanity are so funny. It would have been more clever to do the Johnny Carson way by setting it up and letting the people fill in the blank. We are all intelligent enough to do that. Hollywood and Adam missed the mark on this one. Don't waste your money. Wish I hadn't!

It could be really good if the comedy was less about the male genitals. That gets so old and not funny. There is a lot more to comedians than just talking about sex and the "f" thisand "f" that. Ellen Degenares can create incredible laughs without going belowq the belt or using foul language. Sandler can also be entertaining if he would only clean it up.

yawn, this was a bore fest, far too long, jonah hill is just an unfunny obese moron, and apatow's lame attempt to thrust his daughter's into their future careers was weak, the older daughter mangling memory from cats was almost enough to make me walk out, i wish i had. a waste of seth rogan and adam sandler, they should find funnier friends
