Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For Movie Reviews
User reviews on Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
The film was definitely not as good as the previous one, but I still had a pretty good time watching it. I did not have very high expectations for this film, so I guess I wasn’t too disappointed with it as other people were. The film looked great visually and it was very stylish as usual. The story wasn’t that good and I found it to be a bit repetitive and dull, but I liked the characters. I especially loved Eva Green’s performance, she was absolutely awesome and I wanted her to be in every scene. We saw the film in 3D and I thought it was worth the extra cash, it looked pretty sick and I was definitely entertained.
I went to see this movie with bunch of my friends because we all loved the previous film. We were all quite excited and pumped up, therefore our disappointment with the film was big, because our expectations were big. The movie still had very good visuals and the style was cool, but it lacked in every other aspect. First of all, I found the film to be very boring and I kept checking my watch, which is no good. Second, I did not really like any of the characters, they did not work together. Well, except Eva Green’s character, I absolutely loved her and she stole every scene that she was in. Overall, I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters, it’s not worth the price of the movie ticket.
I really wanted to like this film, I tried really hard, however I did not succeed. The film still looked quite spectacular but it did not have the same effect on me as the first film. The film also still has overabundance of style, however everything else is quite boring. The film was brutal as well, but in a bad way, it was not necessary and it did not add much to the story. I also thought that the characters did not work well together and they were dull in some strange way. I did really like Eva Green’s character and her performance, she was magnetic and definitely stole every scene that she was in. Overall, I do not think this film is worth seeing on the big screen.
I had high hopes for this film, I really liked the previous movie so I was excited for this one. Well, I am sad to say that I did not like it as much as I liked the first one and I don’t recommend seeing it on the big screen. The film is still striking visually, however, it is poorly paced and very repetitive. I also did not think that the characters clicked together and I also found the action to be dull. I found myself checking my watch a lot during this film and that is not a good sign. I absolutely loved Eva Green’s performance, she was amazing and definitely made the film much better. Overall, you might enjoy this film when you are in a very particular mood at home.
