First Dog Movie Reviews

This is a family film that was directed by Bryan Michael Stoller and stars Eric Roberts, Eliza Roberts and John-Paul Howard. The film has good intentions and it is definitely geared toward younger public. I can not imagine that older children could enjoy this film and not find it extremely stupid. There are a lot of elements in the film that are plain dumb and very unrealistic, but then again, this film is for children. The film is trying very hard to be sweet and it is but it does feel forced and not genuine. I think that there are many other films that are for children and are way better than this one.
FIRST DOG is a wonderful movie! I see the film has also won a LOT of film festival awards and even the DOVE foundation and Parent's Television Award highly recommend it. The kids just keep wanting to watch the movie over and over again -- kids ages 8 - 13.
This is a children’s film that is directed by Bryan Michael Stoller and stars Eric Roberts, Eliza Roberts and John-Paul Howard. The film is sweet and has good intentions but it is not good at all. The film is dumbed down and I do not like that because kids are not dumb and the makers of this film obviously think that they are. The actors in the film do an alright job with the material that they have been given. This film is perfect if you have a family and have nothing better to do. Overall, it is a cute film that fails on many levels but provides the audience with innocent fun.
