5 for the laughs and good filmmaking. Different for the genre and I liked that. Never too much of a good thing and this film has a lot of good things about it. The editing was super cool. Unlike any romantic comedy I've ever seen. I like the cut forwards and backwards. It's like the pictures were thinking for me. I appreciated the director's approach to each scene: setups, framing, angle, and acting. Funny so much of the time. And well put together. Wish more black films came out like this. All the actors were normal. And I just loved the female leads hair. Beautiful. Brilliant. Makes me think I can make a film too! So go see it. You'll be impressed. These other reviews I read on here are just laced with bad vibes. People think if they can type they have a right to give their opinion. Eat some food people. You all sound malnourished and uneducated and completely unqualified to talk about what a movie is and isn't. I'd put a dime on a bucket that you never stepped foot behind a camera or edited a frame of film in your life. Keep dreaming and leave the reviewing to those that live and work in the biz. meh!
This is a comedy/romance film about James who gets evicted from his apartment and has to move in with his girlfriend of 3 months, the film is directed by Michael Whitton and stars Misty Alli, Rick Amieva and Noelle Balfour. I did not like this film and do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film was developed from web series and it is very obvious and not in a good way. The film is fun to watch at times and there are moments when it works very well but most of the time it does not. The leads have a great chemistry together and it is a lot of fun to watch them together on the screen but it is not enough to save this film. Overall, I think you will be better off renting this film.
I did not like this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I think the film was alright but I do not think it is worth the price of the movie ticket. There were some moments where the film is sweet and charming and the acting is really great. It was great to see Saleem and Weathers work together and I think they have an amazing chemistry. This film is developed out of the Web series and unfortunately one can almost immediately tell and that is not a plus. The whole film does not feel coherent which is kind of annoying. The film has way too many pauses and it is edited weirdly and I think it should have been a short film.
