Edge of Tomorrow Movie Reviews

I have hated Tom Cruise since Risky Business. I went to it with my girlfriend who fell in love with him and "dumped" me. It brings joy to my heart anytime he has a movie which is a flop. This in not one of them. Tom's performance was as solid as it could have been "blah blah blah". The story line was solid. The movie was a perfect action film seasoned with just the right amount of humor. I was sure when I went, it would not meet the "hype" it had generated but it did. If you like Sci Fi, love Tom Cruise or even hate him... go... you will enjoy yourself.
It wasn't earth shattering, but it was interesting. It was a fun trip to the movies. People get all hyped up about the special effects, but they were nothing special. Average, run-of-the-mill Gozilla-type or X-Men type effects: lots of explosions and energy, but nothing that causes your jaw to drop. I have long grown tired of Tom Cruise, but actually liked his character a lot. There was a subtle humor that permeated the movie that actually gave it character. Not a bad movie to see, but nothing that will stick to your memory.
I was really excited to see this film so my expectations were quite high and I am happy to say that his film did not disappoint. I highly recommend seeing this film on the big screen, I guarantee that you will have a good time. The film was really entertaining but it was also smart, unexpected and exciting. My favorite thing about this film was the humour, it was so refreshing and Tom Cruise was great as well, he is a real star. It is a sharp sci-fi thriller and I don’t think that nay other film this summer is gonna be able to beat this powerhouse of the movie. Overall, if you like sci-fi you simply must see this film in the theater.
I am a big fan of sci-fi films and I was quite excited to see this one because I love Tom Cruise and I love Emily Blunt even more. I was afraid that my high expectations won’t be met, because they are usually not, however this movie was different, it was totally amazing. The film had strong and charismatic lead performances, great visual effects, amazing sets and it was also unexpected and humorous. I am pretty sure that I will watch this film more than once on the big screen, it was that amazing. I believed in the characters and was deeply invested in the relationships that they had, that takes some good acting to achieve that. Overall, I highly recommend seeing this movie on the big screen, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time.
