I am not used to watching comedies that are not American, therefore I have a hard time understanding non-American humor. This “comedy” was not funny at all, I do not know if it was because I do not understand Indian humor or it was because it was simply not funny. I felt like a lot of jokes had to be explained and explaining a joke kills the funny in it. The movie was very male-centered and I kind of resented that because Chopra was so good and offered such a great performance. I wish she had more screen time, I am not saying that the main three actors were bad, they were actually really good as well. Padamsee is so beautiful, but she can not act at all, poor girl just looked ridiculous and I felt uncomfortable watching her, that is how bad of an actress she is. Overall, I think the director Madhur Bhandarkar, who usually makes very serious and good movies, should stick with what he knows best and leave comedy to someone else. Then again, I might be completely wrong because I do not understand Indian sense of humor. I would suggest seeing it for yourself, maybe not in the theater though, wait until they release it on DVD.
