Darjeeling Limited Movie Reviews

Not a bad movie, but not a great movie. This movie lacked the character development that makes Wes Anderson films (especially The Royal Tenenbaums) great. This film looked good and was entertaining, but I felt like the three brothers were interchangable. Sure they gave them each a quirk so we knew which one was which (that one is the womanizer, that's the quiet one) but in the end it fell flat. Plus, it really wasn't very funny. I was disappointed since I love all of these actors and Wes Anderson, I guess I know that they could do better.
An unexpectedly nice movie with lots of levels and plenty of humor.
A sweet and sad treat, superbly acted and directed. Not convinced by the short film intro but otherwise excellent.
Wes Anderson! I exhale in awe whenever I reccolect scenes from his previous films, for they have been burned into my retineas and have been stored in the file in my brain labled as "Beautiful Images."
This film has found it's very own place in that file. The introduction of Adrien Brody and Natalie Portman into Andersons usual cast of actors was something that initially worried me. Under the direction of Anderson, anyone can play the subtle yet profound characters of his films. They were superb, as was this film.
