Chasing Ice Movie Reviews

This is a wonderful doc**entary of the impact of warming temperatures on the glaciers. The film includes time lapse photography over several years to show the rapid melting of glaciers. Balog is a nature photographer and scientist with a personal commitment to the subject. If you have a chance to see Balog speak at a screening, he's not to be missed.
The movie is best appreciated on a large screen. The images are stunning. It's no wonder that the film has been honored with dozens of awards.
There is no overly political message in this movie - but there is a clear and compelling message about the dramatic impact of global warming on arctic regions. The rapid change - and the impact - are without question. Global warming has many causes and is not fully understood - but the facts remain that temperatures are above historical ranges and glaciers are rapidly melting.
And yes there is a message - we should be very concerned about warming and glacial melting. And we should each personally do something about it.
This was a really good and very important doc**entary and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters, in fact i think it is crucial for people to see this film. The film is amazing visually and if you are not a believer in global warming, after this film you will not be able to deny it. The footage is wonderful and disturbing and seeing ice mountains disappearing will give you chills. This film must be seen on the big screen, it is truly beautiful and sad and I felt very guilty and amazed while I was watching it, as you can tell, this film stirred up a lot of mixed feelings.
This is a doc**entary is about acclaimed National Geographic photographer James Balog who sets out to Arctic to discover how fast the ice is melting and how that is changing our planet. I really enjoyed watching this doc**entary and I think it is really important film that needs to be seen by a wide audience. The film is hauntingly beautiful and also alarming and there have been many films about global warming but this one I like the most. I believe in global warming and seeing it actually happen in front of my eyes was a very scary and it took my breath away, i think people who still think that the climate is not changing need to see this film and I have no doubt in my mind that they will become believers after seeing this doc**entary. Overall, I urge people to see this film and tell others about it so change can happen.
