I absolutely loved this sweet and heartwarming comedy and I will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out. It could have easily been one of those mediocare comedies but the actors and a very well written script made it exceptional and interesting. The script is not original but the director made it fresh and the dialogue is absolutely brilliant and so funny. Ed Helms, John C. Reilly, Anne Heche, Isiah Whitlock Jr. are very good in their roles and very funny in very different ways. I loved the performance of Isah Whitlock, he is so different in the way he delivers his lines, it is a pleasure to watch him. I was also surprised by Anne Heche’s performance, she played a nice person for once and it suites her well.

I thought the movie was funny and sweet, it was not a masterpiece but definitely fun to watch. I absolutely love Ed Helms and he was perfect as gullible and sweet Tim, however it is hard to believe that someone can be that out of touch with reality and it brings the movie down a little bit. John C. Reilly is awesome as always and he cracked me up with his outrageous character. Isiah Whitlock Jr. was absolutely amazing, he was very funny in a very unique way. Anne Heche surprised me with her likable performance and she should definitely do more characters like that. I was laughing throughout the entire film and I enjoyed all the characters in it. I will probably not remember this film after a year but I had fun watching it. Overall, I suggest renting and enjoying it at home.

I am so happy that I saw a really funny comedy at last. It was absolutely awesome and I enjoyed every minute of this movie. It was a little bit predictable but the movie made me laugh and that is all care about. Ed Helms is so funny and lovable and I really think he should move on to bigger movies and make that cash. His character in this film was similar to his character of Andy(“The Office”), and I am afraid that he is being typecast. John C. Reilly is absolutely awesome and completely stole the show. His character is so outrageous and hilarious I loved every second of it. There is a new star born in this movie and that is Isaiah Whitlock, he is so good and has a very funny and interesting way of delivering lines. Overall, the film was very very funny and I am recommending it to all of my friends.

Cedar Rapids, directed by Miguel Arteta, is a comedy film about a small-town man who has never left his small town of Cedar Rapids. When the top salesman at his company dies, he is left with the responsibility of leaving Cedar Rapids to make the big sale. The plot of the movie revolves around this naive man who discovers the world outside of his tiny town and the crazy events that unfold as he discovers the bright world out there. The movie is well-written and extremely funny but my favorite part of the film is the bonding that the main characters do during the film. I am almost reminding of kids bonding together at summer camp because that is how it feels during the movie. Ed Helms was already one of my favorite comedic actors from The Office and The Hangover but I can see him becoming an A-list star after this film. Great movie!

Cedar Rapids is a film that was released at a small film festival (I forget which one) but did very well and is now getting a larger release. Comedian Ed Helms (from The Office) stars in this comedy about a small town salesman who must leave his small town to make a big sale. What he discovers is that nothing outside of his town of Cedar Rapids is anything like what he is familiar with. Ed Helms’ character is very naive and his eyes are opened when he arrives at the conference to learn about the hedonistic things that happen in big cities. Ed Helms’ character is goofy and very funny and Helms does a great job of selling the character. The movie is predictable but that doesn’t take away from it at all. It is still extremely funny and worth seeing.

Cedar Rapids is a comedy starring some of my favorite actors including Ed Helms (from The Office, Hangover), John C. Rilley, and Sigourney Weaver. The story revolves around Ed Helms as the main character who is a small town naive man. When Helms’s role model dies, he is forced to step up and take over the salesmanship for his insurance company. The movie really gets good when he is shocked to discover what big city life is like. I absolutely loved this film. I was laughing the whole time and Helms does a great job of playing a “no always there” lovable character. John C. Rilley also does a great job as always playing the costar. I always like to see films that take a small towner and throw him into a big city. I’m not sure why I enjoy that scenario so much but I do. I highly suggest this film.
