Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore Movie Reviews

It's a kids movies? What else did you want? lol. Going to a kids movie and then talking about how generic the plot was is like going to a Quentin Terentino movie and crying about the violence.
It's been 9 years since the release of Cats & Dogs, a pretty funny idea that was buried under frantic slapstick. I wonder what Warner Bros. was thinking when they decided to create a sequel almost a decade later, especially when the results are dumb as this animal spy spoof.
This film starts with a pretty funny spoof of Bond films (including having Shirley Bassey sing the theme), but soon it drops any pretense of originallity. The story involves a group of spy dogs getting assistance from a screw-up police dog to stop Kitty Galore, a hairless cat with an axe to grind, from succeeding in a plot to take over the world. This gives the filmmakers the opportunity to do things like have dogs flying around with jetpacks and riding around on motorcycles so we, the audience, can say, "Hey, look, it's dogs and cats doing stuff that humans do!"
Unfortunately, that's about all this movie has to offer. For me, there is nothing creepier than anthropomorphizing animals. I like dogs chasing frisbees and cats batting around balls of yarn, not talking. So really, the only thing that will make this movie work for you is if you find dogs talking and shooting lasers funny. Me, I don't.
