Carnage Movie Reviews

I wanted to see this film for two reasons 1) Christoph Waltz and 2) the assemblage of four very good actors...and I wasn’t disappointed. An invigoratingly intelligent, funny, simple film held together by incredible acting and script.
The film changes its focus from person to person as each reveals more and more about themselves. Add a little alcohol to the equation and you have a recipe for an interesting “discussion” where alliances change and the “tone” of the conversation “crescendos” quite a few times.
It may sound a bit dull watching a movie filmed almost entirely in one room with only four actors, but it’s definitely not. Oh, and John C. Reilly almost steels the show. Highly recommended.
I thought this film was alright but I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters because i d o not think it is worth the price of the ticket, also if you have seen the original play this film will disappoint you greatly. I thought that the film felt claustrophobic and I felt trapped just like the characters in it. The film has a lot of great actors and they do a great job with their roles but are not able to save this film from being mediocre. Polanski knows how to create a certain atmosphere very well but i am not a fan of him and i do not like the way he directs. I also do not think this film can be called a comedy because there are no laughs in it at all. Overall, I am not a fan of this film and the way it was made.
I thought this film was alright but not worth seeing in the theaters. I saw the original play in the theaters and it ruined this film for me because the play was excellent and this film tried really hard but still was not as good as the play. I think that the film lost the humor that was in the play and it was very evident. I think that the film was made very well and admire the construction of it but it lacked the charm of the play. I found the film to be very predictable and only few performances impressed me. There is nothing terribly bad about this film but something definitely feels off and by the end of the film you just want out. Overall, I do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters.
This is a comedy about two pairs of parents who hold a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a fight and things get out of control, the film is directed by Roman Polanski and stars Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz. I liked this film and I recommend seeing it in the theaters because the film is well made and has an absolutely amazing cast. I did find the film a bit too long and a bit too self congratulatory but otherwise I had a good time watching it. I have not seen the original play that this film is based on so I was pretty pleased with this movie, however my friend saw the original play on Broadway and was very disappointed with this film so I guess it is all relative.
