I thought this film was alright but I do not think it is worth seeing in the theaters.The film started out promising and I was really interested where it will go, unfortunately it was quite disappointing in the end. The film was quite depressing but in the me time there was a beauty inside of all of that midlife sadness. Carlyle is a great character actor and he gives 100% of himself to this character which makes the film watchable and even enjoyable from time to time. I think the film is worth seeing at the comfort of your home, I think it was not bad just quite forgettable. -
This is a drama about post-fame life and redemption. I thought the film was pretty good and I enjoyed watching it for the most part. The film is subtle and I liked that, especially when it deals with guilt and responsibility. I thought that the film was focused and even though there were some bumpy moments when the story was kind of slow I think the overall effect is pretty great. Carlyle gives a wonderful performance and commits 100%, it was a real pleasure to watch him and I hope I will see more of him in the future, he is a wonderful actor. Overall, this film is a great character study and I found it to be engrossing, so I recommend seeing it in the theaters if you want to see an adult film about life. -
This is a drama about a former rock star who now works on a farm and because of DUI charges faces deportation, the film is directed by Marshall Lewy and stars Robert Carlyle, Alexia Rasmussen and Kathleen Wilhoite . I liked this film and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. It is a very California film and I was interested in the story and the character. The film focuses on one guy and it is a great character study, i was very impressed with Robert Carlyle, i knew he was a good actor and in this film he proved it once again. I liked how the film looked and the way the story was told, overall I think this film is worth seeing in the theaters.
