I thought this film was pretty good and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. It is a really good character study and on top of that there is crime and drama involved so you will not be bored throughout this film. It is not a happy film and one might feel sad after it but it is still worth seeing if not for the story then for Matthias Schoenaerts' performance. He was absolutely amazing in this film and I can not wait to watch him in the future, I have no doubt that he will get many roles after this performance. The film overall was tragic and I usually do not like such grim films but for some reason I stuck with this one and I do not regret it. Overall, if you want to see amazing acting and an engrossing story I suggest you see this film.
At first I was not sure about this film but I stuck with it and I am glad I did because it was a great experience and I highly recommend seeing this film in the theaters. Sometimes I did not like the way the story was told but the lead actor Matthias Schoenaerts saved the day every time and I was so in awe of his talent, this guy is a powerhouse. I really hope to see this actor more often because he is very talented and he deserves to get great roles and I hope he will. This film is a great character study and with Schoenaerts it is a real treat to watch. Overall, i suggest you take a chance on this film and I guarantee you that you will not regret it.
This is a drama about a cattle farmer who approached by a veterinarian to make a deal with a beef trader, the film is directed by Michael R. Roskam and stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Jeroen Perceval and Jeanne Dandoy. I thought this film was pretty good and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film was very interesting and thrilling and I thought that the main character was absolutely brilliant and it was played imppecably by Matthias Schoenaerts who I hope I will see more of because I was highly impressed by his acting abilities. I found this film too be very funny at times and also very sad at others and I loved the combination. You must be completely engaged in this film and you will love it, however if you do not have the patience I suggest you see a different film. The film builds the tension beautifully and by the end of the movie you will be on the edge of your seat. Overall, I was very impressed with this film and I think it is worth seeing in the theaters.
