"This was the worst movie I have ever seen.", Then you need to see more movies! This was definitely not even close to the worst movie I've seen. It's amazing how people are still so homophobic, I think Bruno is the perfect wake up call for America. Isn't it ridiculous that Homosexuals can't get married? I think it is. I thought that movie was extremely graphic though, don't get me wrong. It is strategic though, it's far more intelligent than most reviewers give it credit for. Think about how a crazy graphic straight sex movie is called silly (Not another --- movie series), while a homosexual scene is used to "gross" people out. That's the point of Bruno, and I think that the point of him releasing this characters movie right now is a direct political statement to the Prop 8 thing in California. Just as Borat was a critique of the paranoia around middle easterners at the time it was released.
Nothing can beat the king of filth by the way, Pink Flamingos! To quote the Gay Steelworkers of America (in the Simpsons), "Oh, be nice!"
This was the worst movie I have ever seen. I'm sure I have seen a few bad movies, but this was the absolute worst! My family and I gave it at least 30 minutes before we just walked out. What a waste of my time and hard earned money. Previews shown on television had to have been the funniest parts of the movie, unfortunately we didn't make it that far. Definitely not for anyone under 18!
I saw this with my boyfriend and while he laughed at parts(and I almost not at all), we both agreed it was not worth the money.
It's extremely vulgar and explicit. The fact that Bruno is gay is not a big deal to me- but the constant sexual acts explicitly(although fake) shown are way too much to see on a huge screen.
Outragios, gross, not funy at all. We fell utmost discomfort beeing there. This nauzeating "story" should be were it belongs: in a theatre freqented by individual with lowest level of human feeling. I am asked to put a star, so I will (-5).
It is probably too late to follow anexample of Brits, or even Ukraina
in redoing the most uglie part, or forbid showing respectfully.
I have to admit that my friends and I all agree that this movie was rated wrongly and some of the scenes were a little too much but we all laughed so hard that I have to give this movie 4 stars.
This is a love it or hate it type of movie.
TRASH . . . should be rated XXX with all of the ANAL fixation. Sticking all sorts of things in their anus and showing it up close is absolutely disgusting and gross. This show should not be in the mainstream theatre. Sasha Cohen might as well just go into the porn industry. He's not funny and can't act but he sure can make a nauseating porn show. Change your profession Sasha!
I agree that Bruno was a waste of time and a waste of money. The only plus is that now I know I have just seen the worst movie I’ve ever viewed in my life, so from here on out, I’ll have a bottom line comparison. I’m sorry, actually. I saw “Bruno” on Conan’s show the other night, and I thought he was funny, creative, and a pretty good comic caricature. Because of this impression, I convinced my husband and a couple of our friends to go see the movie with us tonight. We were all sorely disappointed, and one of my friends was totally disgusted. Sex and nudity don’t bother me if they are done tastefully, creatively, and purposefully. None of these criteria seemed to apply to Bruno. Most nudity appeared done simply for shock value. I don’t think this worked, either. There’s a difference between shocked and just plain grossed out. We had all seen Borat and found it funny and a good caricature and spoof. Further, Borat seemed to have some plot we could hang onto and use to tie things together. Although Bruno did have a plot, it was weak, lacked logic, and didn’t hold the movie together. So… please take away the p**** close ups of the talking wagging wang. That’s wang too much!
Hilarious, virtually the whole cinema was laughing out loud. Don't go and see this if you're expecting any kind of story line just take it for what it is, Borat revisited just in another guise. You'll be open mouthed at some of the scenes, some are a little close to the bone but that's Sahsa Baron Cohen for you.
Probably the most pathetic waste of time I have ever experienced in a theater. At least Borat provided a rather twisted critique about the American perspective. Watching Bruno was like watching Jerry Springer and Jeraldo Riviera trying to pretend they're Oprah. I'm embarrassed I spent the money for the matinee.
