After her fiancé is beaten to death, and shes left severely injured, radio show host, Erica buys a 9mm automatic and becomes a vigilante. She attempts to stay under the radar while a detective, she befriends, tries to figure out whose killing off bad guys before the police can get to them. Jodi Foster is compelling as a person struggling with moral choices and the shameful power of violence. And, the chemistry between Foster and Terrence Howard is fun to watch.
Jody is on her game in this one. This movie has it all, and tells it all in an unusual way. What's especially good about this movie is that the story moves along at a good clip, there's no dead spots. This movie is just as different as a "who's doing it" type of movie as 3:10 to Yuma is as a western. Go see them both you will be glad you did, and remember to buy some POPCORN. Regards, HK
Worth seeing as Foster is in her usual steelar form. Most redeeming part... the hope that law enforsement has a living working conscious. Worst part,I'm hard pressed, the violence was realistic and produced the desired emotion, could have developed characters a bit more before the mayhem.
