I was disappointed with this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I thought the film is going to be great and hilariuos because it has an amazing cast of great comedians, however the film was just mildly funny and that is definitely not enough for me. The film was very beautiful visually and charming in its own way but I think it did not live up to its full potential and i feel like the talent of those great comedians was not fully explored in this film. Overall, i do not think this film is worth seeing in the theaters because it is not worth the price of the ticket.

Big Year, was not what I expected. Even though I am a birder myself, it was a little dragging, I expected a little more fun, and enjoying the comedians that are capable of working the screen and the audience. I seen nothing of that here. I am Sorry but it missed it's mark with Me...

This is a grown up movie for grown ups. It's a true story. Truth is seldom slapstick. Big Year is a bit miscast with three comedians staring. It set up our expectations that it was going to be a lite comedy, which it's not.

I was disappointed with this comedy and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I think that the film kind of wasted the talent of our great comedic actors Owen Wilson, Jack Black and Steve Martin. The film is cute and everything but I do not want to pay $12 to see a cute comedy, I want laughs. The film was quite boring and slow and I almost fell asleep couple of times. The film has beautiful shots of the nature but that is not what i want from a comedy that stars Steve Martin, i do not understand what the filmmakers were thinking. Overall, I did not have a good time watching it.

I was expecting a big crazy comedy in The Big Year, what with the film starring Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson. Instead, I found a charming film that doesn't try to bash you over the head, and doesn't mock its subject.
Martin, Black and Wilson each play birders, competing to see who can spot the most birds in a year. But that's just the main story. Each of these men use birding to run away from something, so there is a human element as well. However, the film works best when following these guys and their obsessions.
What makes the film pretty good is that director David Frankel plays down his actors' stereotypes. Black isn't as crazy, Wilson not as dopey. Martin is Steve Martin; in my opinion, he can do what he wants. It's a small film, considering the stars, but an entertaining one.

I do not know why the critics are so harsh on this film, I thought it was alright and quite cute in a way. The film is slow and it takes time to develop and the characters are nicely done and you really get to know them throughout the film. The film never really made me laugh but it made me giggle couple of times and I smiled quite a lot. The film is very nice visually, the guys travel through some beautiful country and it was nice to watch that on a big screen. Nothing surprising, shocking or memorable happen in this film but it is pleasant to watch and i recommend seeing it in the theaters.

This is a comedy about three bird watchers, the film is directed by David Frankel and stars Owen Wilson, Jack Black and Steve Martin. The film was cute and charming in it’s own way but it definitely was not funny enough to make me laugh out loud. The film has an amazing cast and it is really beautiful visually and it was pleasant to watch, however it was not special or captivating in any way. It was refreshing to see a comedy that does not involve disgusting language or bathroom jokes, I was pleasantly surprised. The characters develop nicely throughout the film and the cast is terrific.
