This is a drama directed by Chris Weitz and stars Demián Bichir, José Julián and Eddie 'Piolin' Sotelo. Even though the film is predictable and not very original, it is still very powerful and interesting. Demián Bichir gives a superb performance, he makes the character very relatable and likable. It might be hard to understand what illegal immigrants have to go through and how their every day life is so much different from ours, this film takes a close look at that and does a very good job introducing the audience to the world of an illegal immigrant. It was heartbreaking to see the relationship between a son and a father father and how their life views are so different due to growing up in very different places. Overall, this is a very good film that is worth seeing and recommending to other people.
I really liked this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film is very well directed and filmed and it has very powerful moments that make you think and reevaluate your life. I am an immigrant myself and I was very involved in this film, I really felt the struggles of the characters and related to their problems. The movie is acted very well and I praise the actors for being so honest and true about their characters. Overall, I think this is a great film that is definitely worth seeing and acknowledging.
