I think this film is alright but i do not think it is worth seeing in the theaters. I think the story is pretty interesting and the characters are kind of crazy but not really likable. The film deals with a lot of serious topics and in the same time it is kind of bland and a bit boring. The one amazing thing about this film is Robert De Niro who gives a wonderful performance, he still has it and it was a real pleasure to watch him make a character feel real and vulnerable. I do think that the film is a bit too long and the filmmakers did not have enough material for feature length.

I did not like this film and do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I have read the book “Another Bulls*** Night in Suck City” (the filmmakers had to change the name to “Being Flynn”) which was wonderful and very interesting but this film was not. I thought the characters in the film were way too miserable and when father and son meet they make each other even more unhappy which makes this film very depressing. I also thought that De Niro and Dano did not work well together, it almost felt like they were in two different movies. De Nro has a very strong screen presence and Dano does not, therefore De Niro often overpowered Dano. In my opinion, both characters were kind of pathetic and not very likable and I really did not care what will happen to either of them.

This is a drama/comedy about a relationship between a father and a son, the film is directed by Paul Weitz and stars Paul Dano, Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore. I really liked this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film was very interesting, touching and sweet, I was very impressed. The main relationship in the film is very interesting and complicated and i loved the way the director analyzed. I thought that Paul Dano and Robert De Niro worked beautifully together and i think this performance is career best for both of the actors. Overall, this film is definitely worth seeing in the theaters.
