I really liked this film and I recommend seeing it. The movie was warm and funny and the cast did a really good job with the characters. Vanessa Hudgens gives a great performance and in my opinion it is the most realistic performance she gave yet. Alex Pettyfer was really good as well and I am starting to watch this guy because it is the second performance that he gave that has impressed me. The director did a great job with casting and all of the characters have depth and they are interesting. Neil Patrick Harris was so funny and I enjoyed every second that he was on the screen. Overall, I loved the movie and I was pleasantly surprised by the way the director turned the classic tale into a modern drama. -
What a waste of my time and my money. I absolutely hated this movie and I hope I will save someone’s money by writing this review and warning people. First of all, the acting was terrible, the main character is played by Alex Pettyfer and he is so incredibly stiff in this film. I saw him in “I Am Number Four” and he was absolutely great in that role, therefore I was really surprised and disappointed with his performance in this film. Pettyfer had a hard time covering his accent and his speech sounded so weird. Vanessa Hudgens was alright but her character was made to say so many dumb things and it was really laughable. The film had really bad dialogue and Neil Patrick Harris had some incredibly stupid lines that were supposed to be serious but nobody in the audience could take it serious. Overall, the film sucked really bad.
