I liked this film and recommend seeing it in the theaters. I do have to warn you that the film lacks a plot and if you are not acquainted with films like this one you might be a bit lost but I still urge you to give it a try. I was definitely charmed by this film and I think that Tsangari is currently one of the best directors in Europe. The film does not offer you answers or define what you are supposed to take away but it gives you material to think about and visuals that will haunt you for a long time. It is a very different film so if you are used to big blockbuster film you might feel lost but I encourage you to see it through and you might be very surprised.
I liked this film and I think it is worth seeing in the theaters. The film is very interesting and I have never seen anything like it before. The film is very strange but moving and engaging and i was glued to my seat throughout the whole film. In essence it is a simple film but it had a sense of mystery about it and I loved it. The cinematography is really cool as well in this film. I like the message of this film and I like the way the director told the story, it was original and interesting and fun to watch. Overall, I had a good time watching this film.
This is a drama about a 23 year old Marina who lives in a boring factory town and deals with her father’s pending death and her dislike of human beings, the film is directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari and stars Ariane Labed, Giorgos Lanthimos and Vangelis Mourikis. This is a coming of age film and I usually like these kid of movies but this one did not impress me. The film was definitely very strange and I am not the biggest fan of that, I did think that it looked really good and the cinematographer created a very specific atmosphere. Maybe i was not able to enjoy this film because it was too strange for my taste and I could not relate to the characters or what they were going through. If you like films that are strange and hard to understand then you will probably enjoy this one as well.
