The film is about a rich teenager who is looking for the meaning of life and wondering the streets or reading very important books. I kept waiting for something smart and meaningful to happen in this movie but it never did. What a colossal waste of my time. George’s(Freddie Highmore) problems are ridiculous and I do not know why the director thought that anybody would be sympathetic to them. While both actors, Emma Roberts and Freddie Highmore do a pretty good job with their roles, their characters are highly annoying and unrealistic. It is nice to look at pretty people reading, walking and staring at each other but after a while all you want to do is run for the Exit sign.
This is a drama about rich kids who have problems that nobody really cares about. I did not like this film and I do not recommend seeing it in theaters. I could not relate to the characters in the film, actually anybody who is not a rich and self important teenager could not relate to this film. Freddie Highmore does an alright job with his role, considering that he did not have much to work with. Emma Roberts is alright as well, but her character falling for Highmore’s character is straight up unrealisitic. The whole film is a joke and it made me kind of angry and resentful. Overall, I wish I did not see this movie.
This is a yet another film about a smart but lonely teenager who can not figure out his place in the world. The film is directed by Gavin Wiesen and stars Freddie Highmore, Emma Roberts and Michael Angarano. I could not relate to this film and I was not engaged with the characters, therefore I was bored throughout the film. I was also annoyed with the main character and his egocentrism, the director did not make his leading man very likable, at least not to me. I just wanted to give him a lecture about life and how his problems are s*** compared to others. Anyway, i did not like this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters.
