This is a great film, these professional men, do not have to be good actors, after all, they are not Clint Eastwood, or, John Wayne, but, Navy Seals, and they are the best of the best.......this is one of the very best action movies that I have ever seen.......God bless these brave men as they go in harms way. People should do them selves a great favor, and spend the little money and time to go see this film

It was one of the best movies I ever saw. And I'm a girl. This is what the reality of the world we are living in.
While we live our lives doing anything and everything without a second thought on what will happen if the military can not continue to stop the bombs that are being designed to get into our borders through Mexico.
Everyone should go to see this movie. I am sure many young and brave men and women will be moved to join the military to keep America safe.
BRAVO Acts of Valor. -
I wanted to give this 3 or more stars for the concept, action, and story line, but the acting is so poor I could not. This is an action-packed, exciting film with a scary story line. The SEALs did a great job playing SEALs, but the acting part if really bad and some of the lines come off as corny instead of patriotic.

Act of Valor got its start as a recruiting film for the US Navy, and it shows in its longer form here. As a recruiting film, it works. It makes being a member of the Navy's elite SEAL team seem pretty cool. But the main reasons it works as propaganda are the main reasons it doesn't really work as a narrative film. The film's "plot" involves a couple of story lines. First, the SEALs go into Costa Rica to extract a CIA agent whose been captured by a drug lord. After they've done the job down here, there's a terrorist plotting bombings in multiple US cities, and the race against time to stop him. Act of Valor's main selling point is that it uses real Navy SEALs, and supposedly used live rounds during the action sequences. All of this reality certainly helps the action sequences, which feel a lot more real than most movies, but this doesn't help the story at all. These guys aren't actors, and besides, the script is pretty much a list of military cliches and puns, so their not given much to work with. There's also actual actors in this movie, which makes the non-actors even more obvious. It all leads to what amounts to a really well shot video game cut scene that goes on way too long.

It was not my kind of movie, I felt like I was watching a video game on the big screen and I watch enough of those at home when my husband is playing them. I did not want to see this film in the first place but my husband insisted on seeing it so I caved. My husband loved this film and I think he did because it felt like a video game, he denied that but it was pretty obvious. Navy SEALs are played by real life active SEALs and I thought that was pretty cool but the problem is that they can not really act. The heroes in this film are almost like gods and they are portrayed as close to perfect as possible and that is not very realistic and the whole point of this film was to portray reality. Overall, I do not suggest seeing this film in the theaters, especially if you are a female.

This is an action adventure film about elite team of Navy SEALs who embark on a mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent, the film is directed by Mike McCoy, Scott Waugh and stars Alex Veadov, Roselyn Sanchez and Nestor Serrano. I was not crazy about this film, maybe because I am a girl and i do not like violence or seeing violence on the screen, however my boyfriend loved this film and I bet most of the guys will like it. The film is a interesting mix of reality and fiction and it was interesting to see how the guys live and deal with difficult situations. The action scenes in the film were pretty great and my boyfriend’s expression was priceless while he was watching those scenes. I do have to say that he acting was pretty bad but I guess this film is not really about acting because Navy SEALs were played by real active SEALs.
